What are everyone's thoughts on this Daily Telegraph-predicted Round 1 lineup?

Sharks: 1. Valentine Holmes 2. Sosaia Feki 3. Jack Bird 4. Ricky Leutele 5. Gerard Beale 6. James Maloney 7. Chad Townsend 8. Andrew Fifita 9. Daniel Mortimer 10. Matt Prior 11. Luke Lewis 12. Wade Graham 13. Paul Gallen. Interchange: 14. Tony Williams 15. Jayson Bukuya 16. Chris Heighington 17. Sam Tagataese

I'd rather see a utility on the bench (Nu or Brailey) as I have doubts about Mortimer playing the full 80. I'd also like to think that Capewell is above T Rex in the pecking order.

Also wondering, how would Leutele go on the wing? I don't know how he is under the high ball (not that Feki's great at that) but he's strong and Beale's great at setting up his outside man. Could be an option if we're open to splitting he and Feki up.

How I see it:

1. Holmes
2. Feki
3. Bird
4. Leutele
5. Beale
6. Maloney
7. Townsend
8. Fifita
9. Brown
10. Prior
11. Lewis
12. Graham
13. Gallen (c)

14. Cherrington/Brailey
15. Heighington
16. Bukuya
17. Tagatese/Capewell

As much as it annoys me, I think we'd have to go back to two hookers in the 17. I still think Brown deserves first crack ahead of the new boys providing he's putting in at training. Mortimer/T-Rex/Latimore start the year for Newtown. If we sign Segy, Brown takes the utility spot on the bench. Capewell probably deserves a spot in the 17 but I suppose it comes down to if Flanagan thinks we need 2 props or 2 backrowers on the bench. Can't decide between Cherrington and Brailey for the bench rake spot. Part of me thinks Brailey needs a few games in 2nds to get used to playing against men instead of teenagers. Alternatively if Brown proves he can handle 80 minutes, you put Capewell and Taga on the bench. I really hope Beale's been training the house down on the wing. I know it's not his usual spot, but we lack choices. Beale's a good natural footballer though, I'm backing him to figure it out and do a decent job there.

Still early days though and a lot of what ifs at this stage though.

Leutele had bulked up a lot last year, that would render him too slow for the wing, considering he wasn't a speedster to begin with.

Williams on the bench is an interesting one with regards to how many minutes he is going to get. Personally I don't see him suiting our defensive style (getting off the line quickly was key last year).

Mortimer for the full 80? What happened to Mania Sherrington (I think that is his name).?

The above side is OK except for a big question mark over Mortimer. Hopefully the Tele is wrong that count.

A Brown / Brailey combination for me.

Surely Mortimer is down the pecking order.

Would also seriously consider 4 - Capewell l , 5 - Leutele.

Mt thoughts are that it is the daily telegraph and they have no clue - and that's a good thing cause that side makes me wanna spew

Whatever way we shuffle the chairs though with no ennis & barbs or holmes on the wing we are gunna be middle of the road. You just can't replace integral talent like that from key positions in the short term and expect a 2016 level of performance over 26 rounds

LOL @ who Quade Cooper is fighting tomorrow night

Looks about right to me unless one of the young hookers rips in in the trials/wcc. I think mortimer will get first crack and the rest will have to fight their way in.
