Considering the shenanigans on and off the field in the last year or two, our recruitment has been outstanding. Very excited for next season.

but we arent attractive enough to sign good players.....

after the season that Ennis had, i reckon there would be about 8 teams that would benefit greatly from his signature. Barba had a sub-par year but he has by no means lost his ability and his spark. Beale is an international player, say no more. Throw in the likes of Bird, Bakuya and Brown. If we can get just 1 solid prop (not expensive) our recruitment has been A+. Lets not forget this also ties in with player re-signings of A. Fifita, D. Fifita, Graham, F. Brown, Holmes, Gagan and Feki........and more importantly......yet to see a contract offer for Robson to stay on

Stop BWB, you're getting me excited!

I agree that Barba didn't hit his 2012 form in Brisbane but his stats from 2014 would still place him as our best player. As you were saying another prop would be nice, to replace Gibbs. Would promoting someone from 2nd tier be cheaper/easier?

Bird (yes throw him in)
Gagan

Loots, Holmes and Brown as back ups...

What's the deal on bird is he as good as people say he is? I thought he's a backrower not a centre

but who? by all reports the new bloke Houma has been training pretty solid. Remember 2013 when Fifita was basically 1 of the best players in the game? He had a ripper pre-season under Flanagan and tore the comp apart when 12 months previous had been moved on for his laziness... (i think this was his go in 2014 too).

Flanno must flog his props. I think Flannos style of play where he used his forwards a lot helps build these props up. He trains them hard. I think we missed that the most in 2014, the fitness from our big guys (or all in general). If Houma comes through he could fill that gap we need him to. But he'd have to be promoted from the second tier if he was to become a regular (if he already isnt in it).

More so a second rower but has played well at centre. I saw the first semi vs Newcastle and he played right centre and scored a try with a few steps then a grubber/chase.

He's come through mainly as a back-rower, but he's got a lot of filling out to do before he'll look the part playing against men. He's at that size and has the desire to be a centre, so that's how I'm considering him at the moment.

Wow, on the centre weight topic, Sami Sauiluma has been listed at 108kg on our website, dude is heavier than he looks. I've watched some highlights of him when he first signed, he's one that shouldn't be forgotten about next season.

I watched the Junior Kangas v Junior Kiwis they kiwis had a young Prop called Fonua-Blake , he killed it a very big tough looking fella who can only improve , Think he signed with Drags last year not sure when he is off contract but he is going to be a real find and he would fit the bill very well.

while we have recruited well we still need to pick a strong squad, that's what concerns me

I'd like to see
1) flash
2) Holmes
3) Beale
4) feki/gagen
5) feki/gagen
6) barba
7) nu brown

I know everyone would say "you need and organiser in the halves with Barba". I think Robsons organising skills are a myth I would like us to try something different in the trial.

Also imagine Flano names that back line and makes them play his "tough" style of footy.

Pretty sure he mostly played 6 as a junior. Moved to the back row the last year or two because he can. But he's got the skills of a big bustling five eighth. Dare I say it - in the Fittler mold in terms of where he's played.

I'm pretty high on him because I reckon he could be one of those kids who just does everything right in first grade. He's pure footballer.

I wonder if we could turn Sam Sauluma into a Bench Prop.

He is a very big guy for a winger/Centre...If he could maintain some of his speed and put on 4-5KG he would be a wrecking ball.

Saulala Houma is also a very big man at 115kg and 190 Cm

While we finally have a 1-5 that isn't the worst in the comp anymore, don't count your chickens before they hatch. We still have a very dire situation in the halves. Robson and Stanley are just flat out average, Barba is still an unknown as a five-eight and Nu is still very green. It has the potential to be gun but very well night not be.

That bloke is ****ing terrible. If he's anywhere near our first grade side we're in serious strife

LOL, you're entitled to have that opinion I guess. I reckon any winger would look pretty **** in a Ricky coached side, his defensive structures consist pretty much of just "jam in and hope for the best bud".
