I agree with Best. IMO, we have gotten really lucky with him this year. He has been way better than expected. With him being a year older, we'd be even luckier if he could play as well next year. If we can replace him we should.

As for Robson, I don't see why he can't bulk up a bit over the off season and be our bench hooker. He won't be defending on an edge so his reads won't be as bad, and his work near the try line is better than any of our hookers and probably even our halves. That's a good attribute for a hooker, the ability to do good grubber kicks and score sneaky tries.

His one attacking weapon is his dummy, dont see why it wouldnt work when diving for the line from 2 metres out, i wont be devastated if he is the back up hooker, especially over morris, but i would rather peachy have a go before anyone.
But as i said, would rather Robson over morris as back up dummy half.

Gordon's games

2006: 18 games, 1 at centre 17 on the wing
2007: 19 games, 2 at fullback, 2 at centre, 15 on the wing
2008: 15 games, 1 at fullback 14 on the wing
2009: 15 games, 2 at fullback 13 on the wing
2010: 25 games, 6 at fulback 19 on the wing
2011: 9 games, 4 fullback 5 on the wing
2012: 1 game (wing)

Total: 102 games. 15 at fullback, 3 at centre, 84 at wing

Rep: 2010 one game for NSW (wing). 2011 one game for country (wing)

In that country game Dugan got the gig ahead of him and then got the NSW gig too.

When was he in contention for a NSW fullback spot again?

And why is it crazy that this player who has spent 80%+ of his career as a winger actually plays on the wing?

Especially with a 14.5 games per season average and coming off 10 games over two seasons.

Anyone who expects him to run out round 1 and be in red hot fullback form is expecting too much.

That kinda only makes his highlight package as a fullback more impressive.. The limited amount of time he has been afforded in his preferred position.. Sorry but he ****s all over gards

I wouldnt be wasting your time picking teams for next year yet - our squad will be quite different to what you are envisaging

It is purely speculation. Who knows our recruitment seems strong enough at the moment that we may actually buy another NRL quality winger which makes Gordon to FB even more logical.

I agree with the previous poster, even if Gordon has spent most of his career on wing and would do well there as a FB prospect he craps all over Gards & Wright.

I agree. There are players being named who aren't even contracted for next year not to mention that out top 25 hasn't been finalised yet

An awkward question but....

How much has Gordon actually played at fullback for him to be considered so fantastic?

From memory in 2011 he played only like 5-6 games at fullback and during this time was argued to be the best fullback in the game. He was also considered for Origin if my memory serves me.

i agree i think robson would be a better option than morris as bench hooker, plus i think chad needs to be given regular
first grade next year or he may go to another club to get an opportunity
