We were quite good with the ball i thought but kick happy forwards and stupid penalties were killing us. Still a lot to work on in defence as we can't be that poor against teams that are decent.

Below standard performance tonight and had been for probably 4 of our last 6 games. Is it just a phase or is this just how we play? God i hope it's the former otherwise teams like the Cows will rip us to shreds at the business end of the year.

We got 1 for the disallowed obstruction try. That was the only Sharks penalty after the 17th minute.
It was 6-1 in the second half.
Sloppy effort tonight but the Chooks turned up and played hard. I think the Sharks turned off at the 60 minute mark. Probably one of the first times that has happened all year.

Right side defence was terrible tonight - Nobody seemed to be able to contain Tupou.
Thank goodness the Eastern Suburbs Pomeroy turned up to play - Kenny-Dowell dropped two cold, and killed their momentum just as they were about to turn the game.
We would have lost to every other team in the comp tonight. Many stupid penalties were given away by us which nearly brought us undone.
Now shake it off and get back to playing proper football.

Agreed. We've scrapped through the tough middle third of the season. Plenty of improvement to come but can win playing ordinary.
