Disappointed this game isn't on a Sunday afternoon so will be taking Tuesday off work to fit in a pub crawl to celebrate the old man's 70th.

Watched Mitchell closely last week. Yes he does some brilliant things in attack but his positional play at the back is terrible at times. I'm expecting Ennis to catch him out of position with a couple of sneaky grubbers before the last.

As has been suggested in other threads I'd be happy cutting back Gal's minutes for this game.

Obviously should be a comfortable win.

Always like the SFS games, close to home and I've got free tickets so double win.

Going to be tougher game than most think imo. Roosters yeah they're not having a good year but they're still playing some good footy, it's the poor ball control that's costing them. If they fix that then it could be very close. Plus they've got a big pack, so could be a brutal game in the forwards.

Even being an away game on a Monday night I wouldn't be surprised if we have more support than them.

yeah I wouldn't be surprised either, the handful of Roosters supporters hardly follow them except when they're winning and have zero interest now they're not playing well. They'll have their usual die hard fans but we could easily out number them. Shame it's a Monday night though. Not a fan of these games at all.

I'd look at resting Gal, Maloney and maybe Fifita.

Gallens no spring chicken and will undoubtably go all out in his final origin game. No point in getting him to back up, rather he freshens up.

Maloney is no doubt going to get hammered in origin and Nu showed he can handle 5/8.

If Fifita plays big minutes I'd look at resting him. If he only plays something like 20 mins, let him play.

Always play at their worst when their specials, won't be surprised if they drop the ball in a big way.

Roosters have been decent the last two weeks. Won't be able to take them lightly as they a certainly no easy beats like they were earlier on in the season

Longest turn around possible after origin id probably still play all the origin boys and rest gal against the Knights.

Take jimmy and fifita off with 20 to go against either or both of the upcoming games if we are in a decent position. As flanno has said though it's more about the workload in training rather than the actual games themselves.

I agree that this is by no means an easy game. The Roosters will be up for this and they still have some class in their side. JWH looks very mean and is raring to go, Pearce is starting to get back to his best and Jake Friend is always a danger around the ruck. I really like the young fullback Mitchell, he looks every inch a Greg Inglis type. Given some good experience and coaching he could be anything. Being a rookie though we should target him - he has been caught out of position a couple of times but one time on the weekend he actually made the tackle before a grubber was put through so he wasn't back in the in goal to defend the kick.

I do think we'll win but wouldn't surprise me if it was only 6 points or less and went down to the wire.

On Pearce and Mitchell.

Pearce - all the commentators are banging on about him but I must be watching someone else. Their attack inside 20 last week against Parra looked rudderless to me.

Mitchell - good with the ball but average without it. Looking for our spine to well and truly exploit this weakness in his game.

I agree on both those points mate and I think we can certainly exploit weaknesses in both areas. We seem to have done our homework during this winning streak and managed to negate any danger against us.

If the Origin guys pull up ok, you play them, obviously on reduced minutes if possible. Can't take the Chooks lightly. I'll still go 22-12 to us.

This is true, and this is the exact reason why a guy like Holmes shouldnt be just thrown straight into FB, even if he has played it in lower grades. The defensive awareness and positioning is way more important than the freakish tries. RTS did an apprenticeship on the wing, so did Mini. If Roosters could, Latrell would be doing the same.

Yeah probably why they bought Flash for next year I guess?
