I heard a rumour at the game last night that the club was planning for a Bellamy/Fitzgibbon combo. Not sure how true it is but I’d rather a Bellamy/Bomber combo.

there is a bit of talk about this, but bomber wont be sacked from the club, he will move back into the elite pathways and junior coaching and development

Under strength coming off tough outings we did a number on em. **** side but we handled them like a "top" team would.

I’d be pretty pissed if my employer did that to me.

We should only do that if it’s what John wants.

An SJ, Sifa, Hunt, Ramien, Nikora?

Had a game as demanding as our's last week?

Please.

Exactly.

Our defence looks heaps better than last year and our attack is looking much better than I expected minus SJ.

Also, most importantly they seem to be playing for Bomber. Last week tells us that.

Management is doing a great job but I fear they're going to get this one wrong. The grass isn't always greener.

its a case of be jobless or move into another position, what would you do?

Seriously I would be jobless and look for something elsewhere. He's proved he can coach, worst case he gets an AC role.

Being demoted to pathways is a massive kick in the guts. I'd tell them to get ****ed.

We were executing set plays with all number of blokes playing outta position. That's nothing other than bloody good coaching & a squad whose brought in.

There’s probably a couple of clubs looking sideways at us and thinking “gee, they aren’t looking too bad”.

I might take the job, but I wouldn’t stay if I got a sniff elsewhere if I had ambitions to be a head coach. In saying that, I don’t know what John actually wants. He might prefer that role.

Barrett was an awesome assistant coach they reckoned .. especially good with attack. Panthers really missing him & Bulldogs bout to break our record of 3 pointless outings.

We've got an AC .. who now has 2 seasons as HC under the belt. He's ahead of Fitzgibbon & Ciraldo. He knows things they don't & a big 1 would be not running out favourites every week.

Yuck. I would definitely not want fitzgibbon.... absolutely either stick with bomber or bring Flano back should be our only two options in the head coaching department.

The players are showing that they are willing to play for Bomber (unlike the Cows for Payten).
We are 2 and 2 but could just as well have been 4-0 barring a stupid injury toll against the eels and should be 3-1 had Chad bought his kicking boots along to the Raiders game.

Bomber has earnt the right to an extension with how far the team has come over the off season.
The commitment and determination they showed against the Raiders and eels and the way they beat teams they are expected to beat shows that. The club has a right to hold off I guess but I think he has done enough to deserve an extension now.

a michael morgan - qld rep, jason taumalolo - better than any of our forwards, rueben cotter - been better than nikora, tom gilbert - on par with hunt, maybe just behind

so yeh, they were missing just as many players as we were, our depth is just significantly better than theirs

100%
What is he doing wrong with the cattle he has on the park ?
Defence , attack and teams attitude all are GREAT.
I can only see upside .
Hope we beat Chooks next week to really help his cause.

Bomber's shown he's good, and the current coach merry go round would give him another crack at a head job (children...) or assistant pretty quickly I reckon. It'd be the wrong move to step back now.
He's been able to pull together juniors, senior guys, even ex team mates, handled salary crap, injuries and not having a home ground... And the teams improved. Can't wait to see what he can do with a decent run of luck.

If we did keep him, it'd still be for half the value of a 'top' coach. Just makes too much sense

Morgan hasn't been **** for 2-3 seasons. I'll give you JT. Rest probably on par. Can't overlook the extra work last week of our blokes but.
