We were in it up to our eyeballs, but I wouldn’t say we were dominate. Tough loss but shows the young guys playing the sides above us is a whole new kettle of fish., but we were close enough to know we can hang tuff for a long period of time.

Lol realised I spelt dominant wrong.

It's one of games where we shouldn't have lost. Like round 1 and 2 with Rabbits and Storm, those games we should've won.

No denying our young ones dug in and were up for the challenge, it's just one of those games where we could've made our lives easier on the ladder and set up ourselves.

It's just a great opportunity missed by the smallest degree

Was just one of those games tbh, anything can happen in ****house conditions like that. You definitely need a bit of luck.

Obviously would have preferred to win but I'm not overly disappointed.

In your head, rent free
The try should not have been overturned on the evidence presented .

The knock on / knock back calls on Ramien and Ferguson were telling.

We were extremely unlucky to lose this one .

This ref has a habbitt of deciding games off his own bat...

Ronaldo didnt ground the ball anyway

The whole contested scrum thing is a bit weird.

I've seen us pulled up when we're attempting to do it. But sometimes it's allowed.

We didn’t get a lot of the rub of the green from the ref. Even fox commentators said we were losing all the 50/50 calls
But there was a set in second half I reckon 4 of the tackles we could have been giving a six again, but no whistle. Then like tackle two for them he blows one, that really **** me off

There was also two times that an eel who wasn’t involved in the tackle came in late after tackle complete and just pushed down on their player making the tackle. Was Niukore once possibly both. I really hate that refs don’t blow those as a flop or 6 again.

Was so ****ing dumb to try trick them twice in a row the same way and not be ready for the push

Yep. Our D was improved and attack still strong. Ultimately lost at the kicking tee. Goal kicking is a big indicator for SJ. I hope Dan is helping him brush it off.

I'm not disappointed in our effort & think we were the better team. Must have spent 25mins in D that first half & most ball we had was in our 40. Our driving PCM forwards couldn't get the traction tonight. Even if they won the tackle it was clear for a 2nd week in a row we aren't getting the 6 agains like we were despite playing no different. They're still going the other way though.

We keep stiffening up the D we're the smokey. Don't see a premiership but lets push anyway.

I was actually looking forward to seeing how the final ten minutes and/or golden point played out in conditions where a field-goal-a-thon wasn’t possible. I feel a bit cheated that a soft (but justified) penalty took that away.

I'd like to know if wade knew we hadnt got a penalty since the 7th minute

Because that is definitely he should have been made aware of at half time and he should have let the ref know about it multiple times in the 2nd half

At the game, which by the way were the worst game conditions I've seen in a long time the number of set restarts we should have gotten but didn't were considerable.

And the ones the Eels were getting they did the exact same thing minutes before. I was actually sober at the game so my attention to detail was actually decent for once :)

I'm usually burning after a loss but I'm not after that. We were right in against a top 4 team, scored more tries and looked much better in defence. I think it took us too long to play the right wet weather football, might be our transition to a more eyes up attacking team that it's hard to reel things back in. I noticed SJ telling others to calm down a bit.
