What the club need to do if it wants more decent youth player is make sure the major rugby league schools in the area are all under contract to the club. I said a few week ago from a squad of 25 from endeavor sport high when they won the school boys cup only a handful were under contract to the club

Just a example mate not school should have a majority of there players under contract with us

cue the hate and the calls of narrow-minded thinking .. but flanno said when he signed todd he wanted to get more representative players to the club, and thats exactly what he's done. if a man can have rep players wanting to play for a club with questionable facilities, then he , as a coach, is doing something right.

The problem is that most of the kids from endeavour high don't live in the area and don't play football here. They are already signed by other clubs at a much younger age than when we can afford to.

If a kid is a local and is any good the club will know about them.

No, players see hacks like Robson and Pomeroy continually being picked regardless of horrible form and know they will never be dumped from the first grade squad. He is a mate to the players more than a coach who will make the tough decisions.
