Totally right mate. It's about the effect, not the action. So many shoulder charges, head clashes, elbows, hip drops and high shots have gone by without mention in the last few weeks because the player hasn't been laid out. You can understand why they stay down looking up at the screen and basically holding up play until it's reviewed. I don't blame them for doing it even though I don't like watching it.I think it was missed because Will didn't go off the field immediately. He was looked at by the trainer but played on to the end.
There was a time we were told that injuries don't come into the charges. If it's a bad tackle, it's a bad tackle no matter what.
These days it seems more like there needs to be a serious injury before the MRC will do anything.
I reckon if Stephen Crichton's ear hadn't been split open the way it was, Dale would not have been charged.
