Riccio saying negotiations well under way, length of contract a possible sticking point.

Can't be three years.

Should do 1 year with a second year in our favour. As I said earlier no other club will really be that interested in him unless it’s for depth.

I’ve heard we have offered 1 year.
Surely we've got to offer him more then a year, this guy is something special, we've got to offer around 2/3 years imo. Otherwise if it's only a year we'll have to do it all again next year. Surely we see him as our next long term FB.

Not if the hype around dykes is real.

Dykes is out for the season, not to uderrate Dykes but that will leave Kennedy as our top choice FB for this whole season, you'd think it would take Dykes more then a season to push Kennedy out of the role long term especially if Will impresses again all season.

Broncos, Storm, Warriors, Knights, Sea Eagles, Bulldogs, Raiders, Dolphins, Tigers and Dragons will all start the year with fullbacks who were not as good as was Kennedy last year in a "down year". Some of that is injury related, and some of those teams have young guys signed on potential (e.g. Walsh) but come on. If Kennedy was a free agent someone would grab him for sure.

a few of those teams also dont have their first choice fullback or are moving them.

walsh, paps, turbo and ponga are way ahead.
cnk and hammer would be on par
if we are happy with a fullback that is better than the dragons, tiges raiders or dogs, then we are in trouble.
kennedy is middle of the pack at best due to his defense.
1 year is enough

Yeah but apart from the Broncos, Storm, Warriors, Knights, Sea Eagles, Bulldogs, Raiders, Dolphins, Tigers and Dragons, who would really want him
