Queensland is to blame. They're too f-cking brilliant.
Nah, you can point a few fingers. Firstly d!ckhead old selectors playing favorites and being out of touch with the modern game.
Then the 13 roaches on the field for the period between Prince going off and half time. I knew if Queensland could hold out till half time, we'd win, but that was a big 'if'. Queensland were showing their throats for 25 minutes when Prince left and I don't think any side will ever be gifted an opportunity to wrap up a series 25 minutes out from half time in an Origin match like NSW had on offer last night. All they had to do was score once and they would have gone on with it.
Finally after that, Bellamy. As I've said plenty of times, Gidley is a full back. Start him there or leave him out, especially with an 80 minutes specialist hooker like Buderus in the team. Bellamy made the late change and started Gidley, but for some reason seemed to employ a 'everyone gets a gig' rotation policy and he yanked Buderus, the only bloke who looked like creating ANYTHING for NSW. Moved Gidley to dummy half when he'd been going great at fullback and brings on Stewart, not that Stewart did anything wrong while on there. If Bellamy really felt he had to give Stewart a gig he should have hooked Quinn, thrown Stewart on the wing and left Bedsy and Gidley where they were.
Blame a bit on Gallen too. F-ckwit better leave that crap in Origin camp.
