Massive fan of Sezer. He was even somehow picked in the City side this year ahead of Hodkinson, but then they both pulled out injured anyway.

Reynolds or Hunt should be our major target. Otherwise assess what happens in 2015 and see where are weaknesses lie.

deano our weaknesses are 3, 4, 6 and 7 surely.
Leutele and Brown may be the answer for 2 of those 4 but we already know we need a centre and 7.

Halfback has to be addressed straight away.

However 3,4 and 6 we have got young blokes who may well fill these positions well. At this point in time you would have to put fullback and the wings in that list too.

I'm not saying you don't still start exploring the options just that at this point in time other than obvious holes we can still learn a lot about where we stand.

I agree, we have a 6 in Nu and 1 centre in Leutele (as per my post). I also agree we need another centre and a 7 (as per my post).

I was just responding to this line "Otherwise assess what happens in 2015 and see where [our] weaknesses lie"

I just don't think we should wait until after assessing the 2015 season if we can fix now (which is seeming unlikely now at this stage with missing out on some of our main targets).

I also believe and agree with you that we have some good young blokes in Feki, Gagan and Holmes for the 1,2 and 5 positions now but granted I agree we do need more in those positions to create more competition for these spots.

2015 and 2016 backline (from what is available to us at the mo)

1. Holmes (Gordon May need to apply pressure from Reserves to earn his spot back)
2. Feki
3. Wright (look for an upgrade for 2015 and beyond)
4. Leutele
5. Gagan
6. Brown
7. From Robbo/ Penani (definitely look for upgrade for 2015 and beyond).

Holdsworth, EGJ and Ayshford can look for another home starting now.

If Holmes does make the cut as the main fullback, I have no doubts that Gordon would/should be second pick in the outside backline as a winger. If they desire to play him as a centre, he could also spend an off-season getting his positioning correct and that may be an option. The youngsters we have are decent and upcoming, but thinking they are must-have-selections is folly.

Leutele looks good sometimes, but has been inconsistent and does not have statistics to back up being a definite selection, and has rarely used his winger well. I really like how Wright defends at centre, he certainly has solidified the right side defense, but he definitely has brain fades in attack and is slow as ****.. But at least he usually likes to try and make use of his outside man in Gagan, who one-on-one looks strong. Gordon would have to be picked ahead of these two somewhere.

I didn't meant wait till the end just wait a bit longer and see where we stand.

As in we have the rest of this year and the start of next season to assess where certain positions are up to.

Feki is a natural centre so we could see him move into the centres at some point to see if he is the answer. Gagan is also capable of playing in the centres. Holmes could end up at fullback or on the wing. Gordon may end up in the centres or on the wing.

It's just these little things that make it worth while holding off for a little bit to see what happens.

Halfback is the only position we know for sure we are terrible in is all I was getting at.

You certainly don't let those things get in the way of a good opportunity but we aren't desperate yet.

Honestly don't know what you all see in Brown. He doesn't do anything :/ he is nothing special and atm is adding nothing to our team.

He is a 20 year old learning his craft in one of the toughest positions on the field with a team of ****wits who don't have confidence in him.

Give him some time.

I agree. Hasn't set the world on fire, but give the guy a chance. he can only improve.

in this day unfortunately people expect players to turn into superstars too fast, because the term 'superstar' is thrown around far too much
