I'm more worried about signing halves and a powerhouse prop for next year. I seriously think they should play Lewis at right centre next year. In the same way that Lyon works so well at centre, it asks questions of the defence because guys like that can do a lot more than most centres. Lyon

He's too slow and too battered. He's been a back rower for half a decade.

When he actually gets some consistent time in the middle with a familiar halves pairing he'll be dynamite.

We can only take what's on offer. Its only desperate in the sense that the talent behind those guys gets very thin very quickly.

Did you see the Brisbane game last night? He killed it. I'm not one for making snap judgments on the basis of single games but it was a break out game. He's one of those guys who never played wing as a kid then has to play there in first grade and hence struggles a bit. Put him in the spot he knows and he excels. 11 tries from 15 games in the centres!

Gagai is a proven gun having a bad year. Probably not the best defender but a great mover. Doubt we would get a look in though.

As for the roughies - Feki and Gagan would have fitted in to that list in the last two years. In fact they probably had less exposed form at NSW Cup level. They all start somewhere.

BTW, Ken Sio would be worth a shot too. No super star but error free and a good try scoring record.

Copley looks a different player when a centre, very strong there. Gagai's also a decent player, great attacker, though weak in defense. Sio's tries all are pretty much come from Hayne or Hopoate causing an overlap and putting him in untouched in the corner, he's like Darius Boyd in origin, has a deceptive record.

I don't think it has necessarily been a case of the club not wanting to keep it's youngsters more about not wanting to pay them the money they are requesting...

...is the best 5/8 playing centre I can think of.
Lyon is a centre first 5/8 second.

Also I don't understand the Gagai hate B&B is it just because of his behaviour or do you not rate him as a player?

I would be over the moon to get him here.

We need a quality centre and half
With a spine including holmes, nuu, (someone of quality) and ennis. With a weapon outside like bj or Gayguy we'd be a threat.

Personally i think we should try take Beale from the dragqueens, or we could wait for the salary cap sackings from brizzy, maybe pick up Jordan Kahu or Jack Reed

We will struggle to pick up a decent half or centre un less we pay overs , Next year is going to be a tough year unless we can snare someone from O/S look at Tomkins at the Warriors he is really starting to pay his way now , who from superleague would be a good fit for us.

Only englands elite would be decent in australia, tomkins was the king pin and struggled...
No good pommy centres or halves want to move to aus.

So papers saying Boyd will go back to Brissy with Dad. Surely they need to shed some players if this is the case. On top of that, if they re-sign Hunt they will need to shed more.

But the 137 average metres and 83 tackle breaks though! But yeah, his defense is pretty *meh* Hard to say though, for right centres, someone like Will Hopoate would have a pretty close missed-tackle ratio, and I'd say yes to him.

But really, if we had a right side consisting of Gagai to Gagan, I'd just be happy on so many levels.
