Will Holmes be fulltime FB in first grade next year? I have my doubts. Mitch could fill the spot, do it better and cheaper than Gordon until Holmes takes over full time in first grade
I know the club is loyal to it's veterans though so it won't happen

Mitch can also cover other positions, keep in mind we have lost stapo and possibly will lose ayshford and wright and we will have injuries in the backrow or backs some time next year
This could mean Mitch is moved to backrow or centre for a game while Holmes come in to cover FB

Mitch is playing to the edge of his ability at the Dogs/under Des, and is still making shocking mistakes. I can't imagine him playing as well if he came here.

Brown wouldnt be first choice fullback, wing or centre at the Dogs. They have their own injuries too

I wonder if Ben Hunt has a release clause in his contract if Griffin gets hooked.

Anyone rate Reece Robinson? Has been good from what i have seen of him this year at the Raiders. Can play fullback, wing and centre. Would be a good pick up in my opinion.

REECE ROBINSON TO RESOLVE HIS FUTURE SOON

Canberra Raiders winger Reece Robinson has attracted solid interest from rival clubs and his future will be resolved soon, his manager Sam Ayoub says.

Robinson is off contract at the end of this year and has been in and out of first grade as coach Ricky Stuart attempts to rebuild his squad for next season.

Ayoub said it was too early to tell if Robinson was likely to leave the Raiders.

Robinson's position at Canberra has been under a cloud since the Raiders' aggressive pursuit of star backs James Tedesco and Josh Mansour - both also Ayoub clients - earlier this year.

Plays his best footy from fullback, on the wing I don't think he is much chop at all.

we are in a really interesting position now

with no centres left on the market, we should be finding out right now if BJ Leilua definitely has a get out clause, and aggresively encouraging him to get out of his contract

if we cant do that, we should either re-sign jono for 1 year, move lewis there (thought he was brilliant there on friday) or sign a winger and put gagn in the centres.
a
i would not be against reece robinson, the guy has pace and can find the try line, plus might give us a shot at signing his brother who is a god damn speedstar

because we have no ****ing vision as a club, or because we cant play holmes this year, either or

I'm confused, wish someone in the know could shed some light on this. If he can't, don't know why we couldn't have added him to the 25 last month? Also, S14 said there's a chance he'll play this week, so sounds like we can play him.

Holmes to FB, Flash to wing, Feki to centre. God knows why we're not trialling it now.

True True, not much to lose for the remainder of the season . so many of the good clubs bring the likely young guys on and give them a proper chance.

I would love us to persue Potter if he comes on the market.

He gives young guys a go and obviously knows how to coach young talent. We really need a halfs coach or maybe an attack coach or a backs coach

Nrl gossip on twitter reckons we're not playing Holmes in FG till he re signs, because the club is sick of being burnt by young guys who leave after being developed, read Lichaa.
Which means Holmes hasn't re signed if true. Which means he probably won't based on current signing trends at this joint.

Meanwhile, Townsville product Valentine Holmes has re-signed with Cronulla.

Despite speculation linking the exciting back to the Cowboys, it is understood he signed a three-year contract with the Sharks.
