He would probably love the chance at the job... To me that's what we need, some enthusiasm, someone that wants to come in and grab the role by the balls. Not someone that just wants it because they have lost their pay check and need a job

Noddy for a number of reasons.
1) He would be up to date with modern game attacking styles
2) Young and enthusiastic
3) His experience in the halves will be essential in developing our halves attack and kicking games
4) Could take over if Flanno cops an "ASADA" suspension (is this on the cards?)
5) I think he still has a soft spot for the Sharks so will put his heart and soul into the job
6) Sticky is dumb enough to let him go

Get it done unity.

someone who demands his terms
We need to choose a prospect, some who could take over the lead role if needed, price isn't that
I want Taylor, he is my first preference then followed by kimmorley

Noddy could do the job.

The flat attack issue that some are worried about came from Anderson anyway - not him.

I think one problem might be his relationship with our players though...

Thats when you come in and say, right I'm here to coach. As of now I am the boss, I'm here to work and work you and if you have any problems with that, nsw cup could use you.

I'd like Noddy too, but from what I've heard on here the club has gone cold on him. Could this be because of Flanno? Maybe he doesn't want to work with Noddy next year and is worried that Noddy could look a better coach. Could certainly happen.

If Noddy isn't the man then I'd be happy for Shepherd to stay on until Flanno comes back.

How's this though for a left field thought? Let's say ASADA don't hand down any punishments and Shepherd continues on as coach (so no Price or Noddy). It would be long odds but if all is well next season what's to stop Flanno talking Sharpie back into his old job?

2015 could easily see Flanagan and Sharpe at the helm again.

You would have to think that Flanno's opinion has been sought somehow.

Why?

Flanno and Sharpe together have led us to two consecutive finals series.

Sharp has lost the plot I think, time to move him on and get some fresh blood and fresh ideas, there will be no carney to save them from now on.

Why you worried about the relationship with the players?

I'd love Noddy to be involved back in the club, but if they run as they have the last week with the senior boys and Shepherd taking charge, I'd be happy wih that

I don't want price to come in and change what we have going

Coming back from 20 down in two matches, whilst good for the win, is not the brand of footy we need to be playing. Letting teams put 20 on before we wake up is bad football.

That said, I don't want price. Noddy has already stated he would be keen if the offer arose, and I believe that he is the way forward. I also wouldnt be upset with JT or even Nathan Brown if we could get him.

For mine its a crying shame we signed flanno for the next three years as we had the opportunity to clean house and start over fresh.

I agree. We were awful in the first 20 minutes. Awful. It could have been 30 nil after 20.

Price's specialty is defence and up until this year the Dragons were a pretty decent defensive team so in that sense he could really help us.

But that said, I agreed with A LOT of what Noddy said last night. Our attack showed some talent and a great attitude but the structure wasn't great at all. Robinson described it best - 'offload footy'. As the Gnome said, we need better shape and more guys pushing in to holes.

It sounded like he was really invested in us... maybe he will be involved after all.
