Apart from all that has been mentioned above - Just making the semis and not bowing out first round.

To progress as a club we need to see consistently what big games are all about - playing in finals games and seeing (and handling) the difference to the normal weekend outing.

Ask Jason Day and Adam Scott, they put themselves consistently in the right position late in the forth round but it takes another skill altogether to close it out...they lost some of those, and while some of those got called a 'choke', it was all part of the process to take the next step.

We took lots of big steps this year...

We finished way higher on the ladder then expected considering we dont have a half, 5/8 or a modern fullback.
With all that in mind the sharks get a pass mark from me. Last night wasnt disappointing. They are just the better all round football team

We definitely took big steps, going forward I want to keep improving on the professionalism part of things. There's too much larrikin crap in NRL at the moment, it's a load of crap. We need to be better.

The thing that stands out to me is the improvement of the players over last year. Ennis/Bukuya/Beale/Barba/Difita/Lewis/Prior/Tagataese all improved from 2014, Holmes and Bird matured into gun first graders, and Graham pretty much has to be in Origin next year. Plus the older blokes hadn't lost anything. It's all going upwards.

The key factor in what impressed me this year was the fact for most part, we never gave up in games. We showed a good fighting spirit in a number of games that we were behind but the fact we never gave up got us the win. There were a number of games that we could have easily lost if it wasn't for the fighting spirit the lads displayed

I think you're underrating them - we need to give credit where its due; the Cowboys are a good football team.

True, we played poorly but we played as good as they let us. They came at us from minute 1 with intensity and aggression and were under stress (both mentally and physically) and we saw the result...silly mistakes and poor football.

Maybe we beat ourselves re leadership and not going back to basics to dig ourselves out of a hole - but they beat us soundly across the park...

Don't take much away from anything he says mate.

I found it hilarious that he could give anyone **** for spelling or grammar given the crap he has written.

Horse **** - we beat them twice this year. In this game our forwards didn't aim up, we dropped the ball 1000 times with no pressure on us and nearly every player had their worst game of the season.

I like our loyalty. I like that we re-sign players that offer nothing.

I support a football team that offers nothing so I'm glad that our retention team hold the same ethos.

Now who's talking horse *****... go or go home game - all on the line - we were getting smashed and seemingly had no answers - that's about the most pressure that can be felt in a sporting environment...

Your reply has no substance, nor do your posts. I stand by my more rational posts.

Lyal Gormon was the best thing to happen to our club. Everything good that's happened has been because of him.

And bloodying some youth has also been great.

Of course - I'm sure you felt little to no pressure watching at home in the ole Smoky Dawson chair...

We've got Internationals, SOO & Grand finals players across the park.

They should be able, and more importantly prepared, to handle the pressure of finals football.

B@b I think you summed it up pretty well. However what I did like about 2015 was we went way better than expected we now have a great professional CEO who could be one of the best signings this club ever made and Ennis who made a huge impact for us this year.

Of course - same with NSW when they went to the decider this year at Suncorp...sometimes the opposition dictates how you play. You can call your own team incompetent and soft or you can pay credit where its due.
