Can't mate. At my age, there is no one else that will take me on and other companies in my industry don't pay anywhere near what I get.

Fair enough mate. They are all circumstances where you're doing the best you can.
People that are a bit younger and on the way up, I've seen too many be impatient and want a company to do heaps for them before they'll do heaps for a company. I'm not talking about morality or anything, that's fine, do what you want, but I'm saying from experience if you're the one that takes the leap of faith first and puts in and tries harder than what your current situation would dictate, it can lead to rapid career development.
If you under perform, it hurts your brand more than it hurts the company.

Good sentiments MB but it doesn't work in my workplace. It's run by a woman, both GMs are women and the rest of the staff is 90% women.
The men don't get a look in here.
