We must have been watching 2 different blokes. Some of the cover defense Williams was pulling off playing along side Simmo saved our arse on a bunch of occasions.

Simmos name pops up again lol do we have a thread without Simmos name mentioned :D.

Sharks will have an awesome pack next year and I don't believe anyone will match them for mobility or defence up the middle.

Just so everyone is happy I will say the name: Simmons

I dont have anything to say about him in this thread I just didnt want to disaapoint by leaving him out completely

11. TUPOU
12. GALLEN
13. MAITUA

14. SNOWDEN
15. SELMES
16. SEU SEU
17. WILLIAMS

W/AFAMASAGA (IF TRUE), MILLINGTON, BUKUYA... PLENTY OF TALENT.. YEW!

The Cowboys look good on paper. I would not be writing them off this season. THurston needs to harden the **** up a bit and stop sooking that the others players in his team are inferior to him.

I think the Manly forward pack and the NZ "worriers" will have the toughest packs. I would also rate the Dragons with bennet finalling putting some steel and toughness into them.

However i think our pack wil be right up there.

My preferable starting line up would be;

1. Kearney
2. Covell
3. Pomeroy
4. Williams
5. Tailpapa or Orcher
6. Barrett
7. Seymour
8. Ross
9. Hughes
10. Douglass
11. Gallen
12. Topu
13. Matua

14. Seu Seu
15. Anderson or Filiga (if he gets his act together)
16. Snowden
17. Peak?? Not sure if hes still with us - if not Norrie

our pack was pretty well dominated by the warriors last year... but id like to c selmes come good hes a beast and with snowden these guyz off the bench would rattle some cages. cant c reece williams playing centre he would have lost a lot of pace with that knee. i think hell b PL for a while then get his chance around origin time when as a backrower.

guessing rnd 1 will look sumthin like:
1 kearney
2 misi
3 pomeroy
4 simmo
5 covs
6 barret
7 green
8 ross
9 hughes
10 dougy
11 gals
12 tupou
13 matua

14 Snowden
15 norrie
16 anderson
17 seu seu

but ideally my team with all playing roster fit healthy and available:
1 kearney
2 misi
3 poms
4 anderson
5 covs
6 bird
7 barret
8 snowden
9 seymour
10 dougy
11 gals
12 tupou
13 matua

14 ross
15 selmes
16 williams
17 green

No Seymour?

Bird & Barrett halves? Thats a shocker of a call. They're both running pivots/ball playing locks.

i admit itl be different but i think buster would make an awsome hooker, and i think everything will be coming off barret this year. hes not just a running 5/8(and hes not a ball playing lock)hes an organiser as well and if u watched him in superleague this year he played a lot of 1st reciever to the point where u didnt evebn know there was a no.7 on the field. then ud play bird the same way he was used in origin 3 from 07 where hed be a running 5/8, but capable of getting the ball wide early.

this is completely hypothetical and id doubt it would ever come to fruition mind u

Killing it at first receiver in England and doing the same here are completely different achievements. Barrett won't have half the time he enjoyed over in England at first receiver before the defense is down his throat.

9 hughes
10 douglas
11 toopu
12 gallen
13 reni

14 williams
15 anderson
16 fiilnga
17 ?
gallen, toopu will both play orgin and i think reni in fact i think gallen and reni will be new bruise brothers.
douglas and hughes will both play for city country orgin match, douglas outside chance of playing for blues too.
williams and anderson would start in nearly every other nrl side.
