JFM isn't even consistent at state level, should be nowhere near the international side. Matt Short is out of form like Marnus but just needs a break back to state level to regain form. Done well for us in the past. What a **** side.
Matt Short and JFM need to go. They’re not ODI players.
Good display of characterAny chance my boys had of making the semis went out the window this morning. Started well with some great bowling and fielding to restrict our opponents to 122 off their 30 overs. Not a bad effort considering they are third on the ladder and have some big hitters. But we just couldn’t get our batting together, bowled out for 52.
Real proud of my boy this morning. He strained a side muscle playing in the heat last week and had two physio sessions during the week. He probably was only about 40% fit but he played because we really needed him rather than playing a man short. He couldn’t do his usual fast bowling so he bowled off spin and he took 1/8 off 3 overs. He also took two catches at mid off that were smashed to him. And then he came in at number ten and top scored with 14.
Agree with @Thresher, great character. Your wife has done a great job raising himAny chance my boys had of making the semis went out the window this morning. Don’t play it again, Sam: Seven balls, three trick shots, 10 runs
Don’t play it again, Sam.
The ramp shot that helped launch Sam Konstas’ international cricketing career in such spectacular fashion is suddenly shaping as a major impediment in his quest to regain his position in the Australian team.
The 19-year-old opening batsman was skittled for 10 by Test teammate Scott Boland in the Sheffield Shield clash between NSW and Victoria at the SCG on Tuesday, after a whirlwind seven-ball innings.
After getting off the mark first ball with a leading edge for two, Konstas produced his trademark reverse ramp shot to scoop Boland’s second delivery of the match for a boundary over slips.
Next ball, he advanced down the track and blasted Boland past mid-off for another boundary.
But the entertaining mini-cameo came to an end on the seventh ball Konstas faced, when he stepped across his stumps and played an attempted sweep/lap shot, only for the delivery to bowl him behind his legs.

The swashbuckling approach that launched Sam Konstas’s international career has again brought him undone after an eventful seven-ball innings in the Sheffield Shield.www.smh.com.au
Yeah he’s playing Russian roulette- no way in the world he’s going to have a long test career if he keeps this up. Even at Shield levelSorry but he's done for mine until he revamps his style a bit,

Agree on all of this. Unfortunately, this is the after-effect of 20/20 cricket.Yeah I think folks got a bit blinded by the whole “entertainment” part of what he does and people forgot that you can’t actually sustain that in a test career. Sometimes people have to look past the flashy **** and look at the bigger picture. There is a lot for Sammy to work on before he can be trusted as the key man at the top of the order. But I think he will learn, there’s too much raw talent there for him not too.

The three of you are talking absolute sense which is a refreshing change I must say.Agree on all of this. Unfortunately, this is the after-effect of 20/20 cricket.
For Konstas, I get he has the aggressive approach which we all love and want to see. But common sense and match awareness need to kick in from time to time.
Rarer than a solar eclipse mate. You won't see this again for quiet some time lolThe three of you are talking absolute sense which is a refreshing change I must say.
Eh. It's never good to lose to the poms but if I had to lose one then the ICC (I Could Care, Industrial Corruption of Cricket, make up your own..) Tropy would be the one I'd pick. Not looking good
