Is it time for Australia vs India to be played over 5 tests? I know some people think that 5 test series should only be reserved for the single biggest test series in world cricket, The Ashes. But I think the Australia vs India rivalry is at the point now where it can be put on the pedestal near or next to our rivalry with England. Besides, a 4 test series seems so......strange.

The ACB has been pushing for it for a while now but the BCCI isn't keen. Too many commitments for their players and their season coincides with ours unfortunately.
The reason it works so well with the Poms, apart from history, is the fact our seasons don't clash.
I agree with you though, would love to see it. Both here and when we go there.

we certainly could have a used an extra test against India this series as it looks like the trophy is staying with them
Prob didn't wanna risk losing the series even if it meant not winning the trophy plus our bowling attack has been struggling on day 5 pitches for whatever reasons
We deadset need a full 5 days to bowl this Indian team out twice
