Plan on becoming a CSSC member in the very near future, just short on cash at the moment. Am also eager to purchase the new jersey and some other merchandise.

Afraid to say that I've never been able to make the trek out to Cronulla, but it is very high on my to-do list. Hopefully I can catch a home game this year, perhaps even meet some of you great fellas!

Mate, it would be fantastic to have you as a member of the CSSC, I'm sure you would love the atmosphere and passion in "The Cage".

Please don't get me wrong though, this thread is not about how much money you spend on the Club, far from it. It is about how much you invest into the Club. It doesn't matter if you can't afford the latest jersey, or season tickets. What counts it that you put your heart and sould behind the Club and support them through thick and thin.

Like I said, this can be as simple as promoting the Club to your friends and family, talking them up at school or work or at the pub! Put a sticker on your car, put the Sharks on your computer screen saver, whatever! It all makes a difference.:cheers

Will walk the path with all of you, love nothing more than going to Toyota Stadium every few weeks to watch the boys. Always support them through thick and thin, as my passion with the sharks will never die.

Great thread Iron.

for "united we stand divided we fall" We as Sharks fans should all be walking the path together. We need to stand by the club and each other in good times and bad we can and will grow stronger as one. Saturday evening had a buzz about it even before kick off a decent crowd despite it being easter, bad weather and poor previous results Sharks fans stood up proud and loud. Lets keep building on this and bringing others with us.

Wow! I must say, I feel quite priveledged and inspired to know that I am in the company of so many dedicated and faithful brothers and sisters. Thanks to everyone who has pledged their support so far.

El Coco's brilliant work on the "Believe" campaign is a perfect example of what I mean by "walking the path". He has had a brilliant idea and the drive and talent necessary to carry it out.

Now, we need to make sure his hard work is not in vain. We need to get these printed up, even if it's just in A4 size, so they can be posted around the Shire in shop windows etc. I did a similar thing last year before the Dragons game by paying to have some colour photocopies done of a CSSC flyer. I put 'em up around shops in Sutho, Loftus and Engadine.

If anyone has a connection or contacts with a printer, please let us know so we can get this off the ground. Even if you have a colour photo copier at work where you could run off a few copies. If everyone printed of twenty or thirty of these each, we could do a pretty amazing job around the Shire.

Thinking caps on people!

Oh, I realise that. Just saying that I've always been eager to join CSSC, and lately have been itching to get our new jersey (easily the best in the NRL!).

Will be sure to wear my Sharkies gear out more often, though. Going to the Sydney Easter Show on wednesday with some mates - will wear my jersey out to attract some stares!

Hey guys, it's excellent to have such a great response. Got me to thinking about how great it would be for us all to be working towards our common goal. This whole thing got me thinking about a great song by Bad Religion called, appropriately, "A Walk". With apologies to Greg Graffin and co. I have modified the lyrics slightly to reflect our quest.

"A Walk"

We're going for a walk
Not the after dinner kind
We'll use our hearts and hands
And we're gonna use our minds.

And we're gonna build this Club
Independent, Strong and Proud
And we're gonna be an empire
With our future in the clouds.

So we're going for a walk
And we're gonna make 'em see
That glory for the Sharks
Is our destiny!

Hope you like it, check out the song, it is awesome.:good:

That's what I love about this club!

Mate I don't know you or how long you have been following the Sharks. On this supporter forum I once told the story about myself as a 6 year old being taken to the old Scaffold stands which is now the ET Grandstand and back then it was Endeavour Field. My old man took me to the 1978 GF that they drew 11-11. After this my mates and I went to every homegame and many away games every year.

In the 35 years I have followed the Sharks I have never been a member of the club so you could say that your post has inspired me to become a member and I am one from today. Just joined before posting this! And I have a very young family that I intend on taking to the games as soon as they are old enough. This joint is going places.

I always try to be constructively critical and encourage others to be the same. We are building a better culture and will be a force again.

I love the current team and hope that they get a chance to gel together.

Get behind them like the IRON SHARK everyone.

Thanks for the inspiration.

I wore a Sharks jacket in Newcastle today.
I will walk the Sharks fan path, too!!

No, thank's go to all of you for the inspiration you have given to me, knowing that there are others out there prepared to walk the walk. You can't believe how humbling it is to hear you have joined the Club after reading my post.

For the record, I am 40 this year, grew up in Engadine and have followed the Sharks all my life. Dad was (is) a Dragons fan so we didn't go to games but probably my strongest memory of the Sharks was the 78 Grand Final when the streets in Engadine were deserted as everyone was glued to the TV or at the pub. All the cars had black, white and blue streamers, so did the shops. That's what this team can do for our community, it has been too long. We deserve another shot and I'm prepared to do what it takes to see us get there!:cheers
