Yeah I liked that he said that he accepted that he may not be in the top 17 and that he was going to be transitioning the captaincy.

Just leave Graham and captain and have one of those two do it whenever he isn’t playing. No need to strip Graham of it, and the refs know who to talk to.

They pretty much did the same thing with Gal. Graham was stand-in captain for a couple of years because Gal was always in and out of the lineup, and wasn’t playing 80 any more.

Wouldn't surprise me if the younger player Wadeo was talking about transitioning into captaincy is Nicho.

He seemed to relish the role when he ended up with it on a few occasions last season.

Nah , Captaincy to win premierships is about team leadership , not fan popularity or marketing dept. preference. For me Finucane to take over when Wade steps aside with McInnes as VC .

Na I reckon Graham needs to get stripped of it, need a total reset and Gal was actually a good captain and was always effective

I don’t know I would say stripped….however I do want someone else for captain next year.

For mine his “good mate” character makes him very popular but I don’t think he has been a dominant captain at all.

Finucane or McInnes would be far more influential and would be the “reset” needed
