No one listened to me when i said their back 4 is worse than stokes with a good keeper

Oh come on, don’t do the I told you so stuff, your better then that. No team can sit 8 points clear on the La liga and have a **** back 4. They’ve conceded 34 goals, that’s not in the **** category IMO. They had an off night and Liverpool are world class enough to absolutely punish them for it.

On another note, who would you rather play in the final: Spurs or Ajax?

seriously though, can we spare a moment for Coutinho

- Faked injuries
- Refused to train

- Paid 20% of his transfer fee
- Wanted to win the Champions League

Whilst he has to watch LFC 2 years in a row

Oh really? I didn’t know this, when did this happen?

La Liga? Laughing my ass off

There D is on Par with Tottenham this year, who are dreadful

Pique is old, Alba is a winger, Lenglet is young and Roberto has made more defensive errors this year than Ashley Young.
So yes, when I said their back 4 is trash, I meant it

Ajax. **** Tottenham

Well agree to disagree on that one. That league isn’t a joke IMO.

To get his move to barca

Wow, didn’t know he resorted to that.

The thing with Barca is they aren’t used to actually having to defend. Especially a few years ago when they had Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets in his prime with Fabregas as back up. They would just dominate possession and could find a way around the press. In fact I recall Mascherano playing CB for them.

This Barca team is nowhere near as good, which means they are much more vulnerable. Their body language was also terrible, they lack a leader, it’s quite clear. Liverpool played with so much more passion, intent and desperation. Also, as Snowman rightly said, Anfield is a different beast, particularly in Europe. No team wants to play there.

Klopp is a sensational manager, he truly is.

Ironic isn’t it. We don’t miss him one bit, in fact we are actually so much stronger because he left. We were able to sign Van Dijk and Fabinho with his money and are now a much better balanced side.

That’s legit insane and what can happen when you haven’t got one bloke who’s primarily a businessman making all this decisions and over ruling his manager. Looking at you Ed.

Liverpool got their **** together when they collapsed into a heap for a few years. It didn’t happen overnight but they persevered and they’re reaping the benefits. Even if they don’t break their ridiculous drought this year, they’re in a position to challenge for years to come.

As long as Ed is making the key football decisions at United, it won’t happen there. I’ve got more to say on it but I’ll save it for the EPL thread if the topic comes up.

Well said there Matt. Klopp is the man though, he’s built it all, he drives the culture and relentless style of play. This was Liverpool’s starting 11 when he took over 3 and a half seasons ago:

Mignolet, Clyne, Skrtel, Sakho, Moreno, Leiva, Can, Milner, Lallana (replaced by Allen), Coutinho (replaced by Ibe), Origi
Subs: Toure, Allen, Ibe, Bogdan, Sinclair, Vilaca Teixeira, Randall

Honestly it can’t be understated what an incredible job he has done. I’m less than convinced Solskjaer is capable of making this kind of an impact. I would’ve been more worried had you gone for Pochettino, Zidane, Simeone - if they were available.

Klopp definitely didn’t do it all on his own though, he also had the right people around him and above him helping him out. All the big teams have that these days, not one bloke who thinks he’s playing Championship Manager undermining his actual manager.

Despite the recent lean run, Solskjaer deserves the chance to try to turn it around. But, like Klopp, he needs the right people around him and above him. Not just Ed. Ed needs to go back to the business side of the club and leave the footballing decisions to people who know what they’re doing. As for the people around Ole, Mike Phelan is good for him to have, I’m not sure who else he has on his staff but from what I know there’s some good smart people on it.

Again, I have more to say but I’ll save it. I don’t want to turn this into two pages of United’s problems when this thread is about the Champions League.

Irrelevant. Klopp or Guardiola would have already phucked off by now with this shower. Matt alluded to it. It doesn't matter who gets the UTD job. Until the parasites and their lackey Ed either piss off or start paying attention, there will be no change at UTD. No manager could do a competent job with this dysfunctional shambles. Pitiful.

When was the last time there was an all England Champions League final? United and Chelsea was the last one I remember.
