HE'S 18 FFS!, do you not understand the nature of the NRL..you dont represent your country and state at your age level if your not bloody good at it

** looks at Israel Folau ** what was he playing at 18 if you dont mind me asking?

Also Albert Kelly is the next big thing in rugby league just wait and watch

you have ALOT to learn about rugby league in general and the NRL

not everyone can burst on the scene, he had the advantage of being tall and being able to leap..i also laugh that your comparing someone that was on the the end of the storm backline to our team..also Falou started round 1 and had the off season with the main team, Matt Wright was with the SG Ball/NYC team..Falou came into a winning team, Wright came into a team devastated by off field drama and injuries..

i know not everyone can, but you can see people who have potential. Matt Wright isnt one of them. Albert Kelly is one of them. Fergo is one of them. Stapo... maybe

Your saying you know better then all the coaches and selectors for the aust schoolboys team and NSW u/18's as well various other rep teams wright played in and the fact that to make it through the penrith/parra league developments you have to be bloody good which is what he did and your saying you know better then sticky and Joey grima...

Peachey. Just give up with this bloke. He just doesn't get it. You ranting at him won't make his opinions any better.

I'm pretty keen to see our NYC team play this year and if fox are showing the games the same they did last year on Saturday arv and Sunday morning then we will get to see the boys Rd 4 vs the eels and Rd 5 @ the chickenhawks

One of my mates brothers was in that same team as Tyson on that European tour. Have heard some good things about Tyson. For one he can apparently hit like a Mack truck and has a fend in the mold of Inglis. Sounds like a decent center IMO.

hello all been awhile since ive been on been interstate working

played union with him in u\15s and still good mates
at 15 he was a prop in union an unfit
16s he decided to start training and started making his way to the backs were he started to kill it
still believe his main interest is union and that this may be more for exposure than playing it forever
young Rugby union players just dont get exposure to national tv and the like and him signing for 1 year suggests that
spoke to him today and he said he will be playing centre or in the backrow

Hey Jordo, good to see you back on here. Any info you have on any of our other new signings would be appreciated as well, there are a few new faces in our NYC squad that nobody on here seems to know too much about.

So its a one year signing, what a waste of time. He wont step into Rugby League and make a name for himself. If Jordo is correct and this kid thinks he can spend a year in league, get some exposer and make a name for himself he is an absolute clown.

Ex-union star finds feet

Ex-union star finds feet

FORMER rugby union schoolboy star, Tyson Frizell, is making the best of his switch to rugby league with the Cronulla Sharks under 20s side in the National Youth League competition. The 18-year-old Australian Schoolboys representative, who played at Southern Districts last year and was tipped as a possible NSW Waratahs representative, made a last-minute decision to sign with the Sharks for 2010.

"The opportunity came up and I thought it would be a new challenge,'' said Frizell, who has a Welsh and Tongan background.

"So far it's been great. Joey [coach Joe Grima], the team and the club, have been helping me ease into league.''

Although a Wollongong resident, Frizell never received an offer from St George Illawarra Dragons. He had just returned from a rugby union trip to Ireland, England and Wales when he found out about the Sharks offer.

"The footy trip overseas really helped in the off-season,'' Frizell said.
"As soon as I came back, it was straight into training with the Sharks, so it was perfect.

"I'm just happy to be playing and focused on giving 100 per cent to the Sharks. I am looking to see how far I can go in league.''

The towering backrower was mixing up positions on the field but was comfortable playing out wide, from the second row.

"During the trials I played centre, but for the past couple of games. I've taken on a similar position I played in union,'' Frizell said.

Frizzle missed the Sharks 38-18 loss against Brisbane on Sunday after he tore his calf muscle last week. He is expected to miss another fortnight of competition.
