My recap from where I was sitting
1) Gordon. ran the ball strong and scored two tries, let a try in by letting a bomb bounce 10 meters out, really hate when he does that
2) feki. Ran strong from our end, didn't see the ball much as ricky doesn't seem to like to pass it
3) beale, didn't see much of the ball, didn't stand out
4) ricky, made a few strong runs, really don't rate him, doesn't look to set up his winger, had a chance to send feki down the sideline but just took the tackle
5) Holmes, see feki, didn't see much ball besides running from our end, ran strong and has look like he has bulked up
6) barba, needs more time in the 6. Looked ok but didn't touch the ball much
7) robbo, usual robbo, nothing in attack, garbage kicking but defended well, saved a try with a good one on one tackle, his speciality
8) fifita, wasn't impressed at all, especially with his first half performance, too much crabbing and barely bent the line back
9) ennis, love this bloke, nice clean passing, some nice kicks, strong in defence. Going to prove to be a top buy
10) prior, was strong imo, was our best prop on the park, bent the line back regularly
11) toops, was really strong, ran hard and made some good meters, always looked to offload and made some good offloads, will be good for us this year
12) Wadeo, played well besides his drop balls, ran strong and it was a good inside ball for one of Gordon's trys
13) gal, usual gal, tried his heart out all game, our best forward easily
14) politoni, didn't see much action, came on towards the end, nothing good, nothing bad, will be ok back up
15) Arona, played prop and played well, might get a bench spot
18) brown, played wing which is a good sign, came on late and didn't see much of the ball unless running from our end, like the rest of our wingers
19) Stanley, didn't get much time, didn't do much
22) bird, played centre, didn't get much time and barely saw the ball, defended well
26) highno, normal highno, ran hard, tackled hard
35) dfifita, thought he ran the ball strongly, continuely bending the line back, wouldn't care one bit if he was named on the bench come round 1

The rest I don't know the numbers
Gards, took a few nice kicks but wasn't on for long
Murphy, robbo clone, good settling touch finder and inside balls, wasn't on for long
Roqica, played ok for mine, took some nice hit ups

Can't remember who else played

Thought flanno didn't use the bench enough, especially for blokes like bird, they didn't see enough action for mine

during the season i can see robson's slow out the back diagonal shuttle passes easily being read by opposition defenses.
he might dummy 1 in 7, which might buy us a bad read here & there. but my gut say's someone's gonna have his number & clean him up majorly.

hope i'm wrong though.

Hopefully the intensity of first grade will see the likes of fifita step it up s gear.

Good to hear toops and prior played well. I think they'll be unsung heroes this year.

Thanks 2010 <3

Also, I may be wrong, but I didn't see Holmes shift to fullback at all last night, both in attack or defence, flanno said he would swap them about but didn't last night

I actually thought it was poorly coached by flanno last night, for a trial he didn't exactly try much

I know it was a trial game and doesnt mean anything in the scheme of things but geez it would have been nice to have won that last night. If only to help establish more of a winning feeling amongst the playing group for a 17 on 17 match.
I guess the saving grace would be that there are no injuries.
Can anyone confirm?

Thanks for that 2010, good summary.

Laughing at people getting upset about a trial game.

You wouldnt be laughing if you attended it though

Depends mate. I know Robbo is **** so nothing he dishes up is going to surprise me. I've said all along we'll miss the 8 this year because of our halfback situation.
