Yes because we lost to the premiers missing pretty much everyone. That game just showed Penriths juniors are better than ours.

This week's game showed we should be much better than the Dogs. Did Dogs really have any players out of that game ? We had no McInnes, Talakai and Rudolf.
Add that we lost Graham too, plus no Moylan.

To summarise above we had no McInnes, Rudolf, Moylan, Talakai, Tolman, Williams and lost Graham 10 minutes in
They had not RFM and no... I wanna say Doorey? They were missing two second rowers, as far as I am aware.

Without looking into this at all our trial 1 team could have been the least experienced (NRL) team to start over the NRL trials. Anyone know one that can beat it?

To start the game, I'd say certainly. There were other teams who threw out a bunch of kids in week 1 though. The Titans trial #1 team had a sprinkling of experience for the first 60 minutes, but when they got up by 18 points they played the last 20 minutes with a team comprised mostly of players under 20, many of whom hadn't played at any level higher than Mal Meninga Cup (equivalent of SG Ball).

Bunnies week 1 trial team was also fairly inexperienced.

Pangai avoids charge for pre-season spite

Tevita Pangai's pre-season carnage won't result in an NRL ban, the Canterbury recruit not charged for two incidents in his team's trial loss to Cronulla.
Pangai was placed on report twice and sent to the sin bin once in the Bulldogs' 30-6 loss on Monday night -- cited for dangerous contact and striking.
But neither incident has resulted in a charge from the match review committee.

Instead, Cronulla forward Braden Hamlin-Uele was the only player in strife and facing an $1800 fine for dangerous contact on Jake Averillo.
Pangai hit Sione Katoa as the Sharks winger lay on the ground, with the bunker ruling he had made contact with his head.
The Bulldogs recruit was then sin-binned in the 29th minute when he appeared to strike Royce Hunt with his forearm as they tussled in a tackle, ripping his opponent's jersey in the process as the pair threatened to spark a brawl.

Any significant charge for Pangai could have been a disaster, given he had two offences last year and would attract significant weighting on any ban.
"We want Tevita to be aggressive but we have to be smart," Bulldogs coach Trent Barrett said after the match.
What garbage. Throwing punches was way worse than anything BHU did.
Biased probably but I though the 'late hit' shouldn't have even been a penalty, it was fine. I assume that's the one he was fined for because the 'third man in' tackle he got reported for was also nothing, especially as they'd already let Collins off earlier in weekend.

Having Gus back at the club has to have some benefits...

Its quite enjoyable how much the Dogs forum is blowing up over that loss
Decided to have a quick look to see what their thoughts were on TPJ incidents, this gem

"Exactly why is everyone so upset that TPJ went crazy mode he didn't throw no punches did he? No only that pussy ref on the field thought he did
Sick of our players getting bashed and hit its about time we bring in some animals and they fire up he does need to be alot more smarter and start pumping ***** in the middle of the chest rather than acting out on them and giving the ***** ammunition against him he need to watch a couple of toni carrol highlights of the ref hit and try to perfect that for us and he will be a beauty"

At least some signs of intelligent life on there
"
How the **** was the Cronulla player binned for smashing Averillo when he played right at the line? Now you get sin binned for hitting someone too hard? **** V'landys is murdering this sport..
Yeah i thought that a stupid call. Avo double pumped and got hit just as he released the ball. Hardly late. Bad call."

That's right, he's facing fine.

The commentators didn't think BHU 'late' hit should have been a problem. That's the one time any commentator has ever known anything about footy.

They're getting closer and closer to their goal of turning the sport into touch footy.

He probably could have hit him slightly less hard but that's the punishment you get as a half for playing into the line drawing a forward to you.

Can't expect the prop to only go in soft or not at all in case the guy passes, especially when he has already dummied once. ****king stupid.

May as well put a special coloured pair of shorts and socks on halves and you can't tackle them but they can't run more than 10m or score.

Also on another note: Kyle Flanagan probably wont see any first grade this year, he didnt get a lot of time last night and when we got on, he **** the bed a few times. Maybe he needs to head to England to a mid-low table club to try to rebuild the ****ing heap of trash that is his career.

Yeah he's fallen off the cliff. Remember people still really wanted him back? Now the dogs will play two 5/8s (or a 5/8 and a centre...) instead of him.

I agree to England with him, needs to rebuild his whole career.

Thought the exact same thing, and after the way Barrett treated Hastings you know he likes a scapegoat.

Writing was on the wall for KF. He played the NSW Cup trial last week.

Also - he was never actually that good. He wasn’t even a top 5 halfback NSW Cup. People got excited because of who he is and because he scored a million points in NYC.

When Blake Green was playing NSW Cup, you could see he was too good for that comp even though he hadn’t put it together in the NRL yet. This was never the case with Flanagan.

I think a lot of people assumed he was going to be really good when he was signed by the Roosters. They don't cock-up like that very often.

100% agree, I never understood the hype, very average at best.
