Writing was on the wall for KF. He played the NSW Cup trial last week.

Also - he was never actually that good. He wasn’t even a top 5 halfback NSW Cup. People got excited because of who he is and because he scored a million points in NYC.

When Blake Green was playing NSW Cup, you could see he was too good for that comp even though he hadn’t put it together in the NRL yet. This was never the case with Flanagan.
100% agree, I never understood the hype, very average at best.
Thought he looked pretty solid for the Roosters if well short of spectacular. The way he was axed there scared everyone else away I think. It was all pretty ugly

He probably could have hit him slightly less hard but that's the punishment you get as a half for playing into the line drawing a forward to you.

Can't expect the prop to only go in soft or not at all in case the guy passes, especially when he has already dummied once. ****king stupid.

May as well put a special coloured pair of shorts and socks on halves and you can't tackle them but they can't run more than 10m or score.
Yep. If they want players to stop tackling halves on suspicion they need to outlaw the dummy and double pump haha.

Getting smashed is what you get for getting crafty.

I think Flanagan would really benefit from a year or two in the super league. He is good enough to do well over there, could build his confidence, which clearly got smashed with the roosters ordeal and then come back ready for a proper crack when he is more confident. I do not ever think he will be a super star, but he could still have a future in the NRL similar to chad townsend (he even won a premiership =/)

I'm a bit against the tide in thinking he could be a very good player. And yeah, I agree. Get him out of Sydney, probably win a Man of Steel award and come back with an entirely different narrative

I want him refusing to go, play out his contract in reserve grade and leave the dogs with a hole in their salary cap.

Looks like Jets had a 12-all draw with Dogs but I haven't seen any other details. One of the clued in lower grades posters might know more

Wonder whether Michael Lichaa will ever be featured on the GFD retiring players parade.

They didn't post any other details. A few people hit the Jets up on Twitter for a team list and they said they didn't have one.

They did post a few pics but that's it. I think that is Dykes in the first pic, and I can also identify Davies, Ernst, Cini, Woolford and Longmuir.

These are the full size pics. Hopefully they pop some more details up on their web site soon.

That was a good effort in general against Dogs, a bit disappointing we didn't get anymore tries in the 2nd half, only 1 try during the full 2nd half but was still a good win & shows we've certainly got some top 8 potential this year.

Hynes & Finucane showed they are certainly going to be good signings, I think Hynes & Nikora could form a good partnership together & Finucane could be a good supporting forward too. Trindall showed he'll certainly have decent potential when he gets a chance, probably better off the bench as #14. I was pretty impressed by Uele & Hunt too, probably won't get much game time as other forwards because of the pace of the game but it will certainly be worth giving them enough minutes. A lot of our players when they form consistent combinations will be good together. Our defence in general was probably better then last years defence too.

Yes because we lost to the premiers missing pretty much everyone. That game just showed Penriths juniors are better than ours.

This week's game showed we should be much better than the Dogs. Did Dogs really have any players out of that game ? We had no McInnes, Talakai and Rudolf.
No Jack Williams, No Moylan and Wade off after 15

I'd say at Tolman's mileage Fitzy would rather keep him fresh, don't really need a trial to know what your getting from him.
