Looks like Williams has won the lock-off. I assume Morris will get a bit of time at fullback too.

Yeah either or both could definitely still not play. Not worth risking if they are still even a tiny bit injured.

Assuming Rudolf has a top 30 spot tied up we have two spots left to fill to get to 29. Hunt and Talakai would be a good chance of filling those spots.
Hiroti, Paterson and Ferris maybe too although the later two are contracted to us with development contracts already, but will be tough to play either this season unless they get that 30th spot before June 30.

Interesting that the article on the Sharks website that posted the team list says Hiroti is "hopeful of being available for selection come round one" which implies he has a top 30 contract. Might be Talakai v Hunt for contract #29
Given the situation with our backs, which could get worse with Morris, Dugan and Moylan all up in the air still IMO, I reckon Hiroti will be top 30.

I’d prefer Talakai over Hunt. Looks to have more upside.

At least those 3 and Wilton are have a bit of an upside to them potentially. We all know what we’re getting from Sorenson. Mundaneness, an inability to put his body on the line on the goal line and being able to make Mitch Moses look like a superstar

Does anyone know if we can use our membership to the trial on Sunday? I realise they are collecting donations for Fine.

I believe it is just GA for the entire ground including stands with a gold coin entry fee for Fine. Membership means nothing on Sunday.

Moylan is experienced enough to come straight back to first grade. Everyone will be rusty. Might even help us forgive a few dropped balls here and there if it's in the early rounds.

experienced, yea sure , but will he actually perform? how long will it take for him to find some form? will he maintain it?

myself like many fans have probably already had their patience allocation exhausted by Moylan. he cannot have those dropped balls in his game anymore if he wants to be taken seriously. if his body holds up he owes us a solid season

Seems to be a confidence player as well. Not sure his ego would like playing reggies.

Wait... could this be Bomber pulling together some next level Flanno **** on us all?
Media beating the pudding out of us? tick
Bunch of injured, squabbling no hopers? Tick
Plenty of untested rookies? Tick
No home ground? Tick
Totally salary cap broke? Tick

Total underdogs who are taken for easy beats each week but go on the mother of all winning runs right through to the GF? Most likely.

Well played Bomber, well played.

T looked good but is pretty small, guess it depends on Williams being in or out, cause he small as well. Our packs really not that big with those 2 in together.

his body getting smashed by fit first graders and his mind getting ****ed by spilling the ball under pressure won't help him either. it hasn't for 2 seasons

if he can't perform at the level below does he really deserve to play at the top ? the bloke gunna wear his neck out next from all the head shaking

the same reasoning was made not to play SJ in reserves yet it probably would have been the best thing for him (and our FG team at the time) to find his touch with less eyes and game day pressure on him. might have brought the wake up call/attitude adjustment needed earlier as well

**** their ego's - they are paid to perform.

it ****s me how coach Morris gave lazy players a pass card last season. I really hope that is changing

I give a ****, if you don't cool.

Why watch the game live at the ground when you can stream it in 140P with 3 mins of buffering and scheduled toilet/fridge breaks when the connection drops ??
it's a brave new world

He's only 178cm but he's a 100 kegs and plays aggressively.
We are kind of shallow in props and second rowers so either could find a place.
May even come down to who is worse out of Cruz and Milne because they are two we ain't seeing/hearing anything about. If Cruz is currently a worse prospect than Milne that could bump up Hunts stocks.

Not a whole lot to test against there. Our starting side should be on the front foot and dominate.

Zach Dockar-Clay? Did he have a brother who broke his neck or something for Penrith? That bloke was a brick wall in defence
