Looks way out of place when the stand is full and that section is empty. anyone sit up there to shed some light on the matter,

If they aren't going to use them, give them to local footy club or charity to use. Do we still have a chairman ?

How did the crowd look on the tv today?
From our seats bay 13 eastern concourse seats around us were empty,
the hills looked packed but could see empty seats
In the southern stand that didn't look full?

we need to get involved with an a-league team (3rd sydney team perhaps in the next 3-5 years) so the stadium gets used all year round. it would get great support considering we have the biggest local soccer comp in the southern hemisphere in player participation.

that way we could perhaps get government funding to up the capacity to 25,000 or maybe more becasue the group would be multi purpose then.

Question for Shire locals: what impact would a well run A-League team have on the support for tgr Sharks?

Get Sydney FC to play on game a year here. Against an out of town team would be best. I've been saying this for years. It would be good for the Sharks and it would be good for the Shire. I don't think a 3rd team is necessary in Sydney. The Shire is sky blue area.

If the NRL are seriously considering taking all games to the SFS/ANZ, **** them

I'm not a Shire local but I'm as close as you could get. I think it wouldn't matter much. People can attend both sports as their seasons don't clash.

Mate, I live on the South Coast (Shellharbour) and I would be very keen to buy a yearly ticket that included both the soccer and the Rugby League.

It's not just about that though. You might find kids start preferring to play soccer over league. Families may not be able to afford to go to the footy all yesr round either.

The major stadiums are **** house and they can hardly fill them for a grand final. Watching sport in an empty stadium sucks. The gubbament has no ****ing idea.

Seeing as though the nrl insists we must have a monday night fixture id like to see them pay all clubs to have them at anz/sfs/suncorp etc.

Then when the 8,000 fans look like there is 5 people present they will realise there is still way too much importance in local grounds and realise until all 16 teams can draw minimum 20k each week, they r kidding themselves

two different entities so to speak playing out of the same satdium. this a league team would come under the sharks banner (southern sydney sharks or just the southern sharks) much like a lot of the sporting teams around the shire outside of league (soccer, baseball, water polo...etc) that we have an association with or are looking to have an association with once the development is up and running. it would be easy to offer a package deal with the two clubs working pretty closely together id imagine.

Doesn't soccer **** all over league when it comes to junior participation rates? I played soccer all the way through juniors even though I'm much more passionate about watching the Sharks play. If people in the Shire are going to be fans of a team in Sydney, it has to be FC. How many more would follow a new St George/Shire/Southern Sydney based team? I definitely wouldn't go that way if I was the FFA.

I just don't think the a league is ready for more expansion yet anyway, they should be looking at improving the level of football over the next 5 or so years as the quality is pretty uninspiring at the moment as it is.

Why would the FFA want us to run the franchise? We can't even run one Club.

I agree with you there too. Support for the current teams needs to be strengthened. It would be stupid to put in a team that is clearly in FC's market.

Exactly. Maybe 1-2 teams down the track more. They talk about losing players like sam burgess or sbw, we lose more quality players to injury and off field bull**** than we do defection to other codes. And given our under 20s and reserves r so far behind 1st grade in quality, where do they plan on plucking another 50 or more quality players to make up new teams from
