Good article. Tobys pretty well spoken and professional in that regard.

Glad he isnt going to Vegas, thats a week or so less of proper rehab. While im not a huge fan of him on field, we need a full squad of players available more than ever.

Everything just seems to come up **** for Toby. Always. And it always seems a bit out of his control. Whether it is something he is doing or the universe just hates him I don’t know. But whatever it is it seems a thing and I don’t think it is a thing you want around when striving for success in a competition that requires a **** load of luck on top of the hard work.

Good lesson for NRL players (especially those like Toby trying to get back into the run on side) - listen to your body!!!

Do you think a Slater or Cronk wouldn't go for a scan if they felt something unusual?

Toby's got a big job to get back into first grade.

I dare say it might be too much for him.

If we can maybe off load him, then go for it.
Agree but with his recent injury and if he's playing for the Jets, we're not getting much for him.

I've completely agreed with this previously, but with movements of Molo and Welch early, there could be more demand than last year. We still wouldn't see full freight for either of the two though.

If you immediate release covering say 200k you weaken ourselves and strengthen an opponent to keep Hazelton longer term.

If you keep Rudolf and BHU you lose Hazelton next season and keep two players who have more good NRL games than he does (including Rudolf in our best players in Prelim last season).

We don’t need to keep the ‘young’ prop desperately either as we have Tuks, Colquhoun, Crouch and others coming up.

I think unless you could get an especially good deal to release you just hold and accept Hazleton will go.

If someone wants to take the whole wage and trade a junior, very open to that.

I don't agree with this

Toby is pretty established in our squad and Top 17 and he was playing good footy up until our season ended.

Providing Toby is fit and playing reasonably well there will be a spot for him in first grade.

Maybe not, but sometimes it is better to cut and run.
If we can save a $100-150k by moving TR on and use that to throw at big T, then it could well be worth it in the long run.

Every time I see a new post in this thread, I'm half expecting to learn he's been transferred or that he broke his pinky shuffling a deck of cards.
Same with BHU's, I always wonder what kind of new injury the guy's picked up.
It’s funny, cos in all likelihood, it’s a VERY real possibility
