Maybe you know where you stand with Toby. He is after money, as we all are. No doubt he has a drive to be a better footballer, but what drives that drive? All his “cheeky” comments lean into finding an easier way. I was never under any illusions that he would be a great but it feels like he has set a ceiling for himself and that is probably based in reality too. Obviously we want everyone to be striving to be a winner on game day but you will get that in differing levels. I never get the sense from Toby that he is as professional as he could be all the time. But think that is why his form and fitness is so patchy because how much he wants it is up and down.

Yeah. Problem with having at attitude like his is it's fine if you're playing well, not so much if you're not.

Cheese has found that out lately.

Cheese has to ditch the media and focus on football.

Maybe he thought roosters would be all the glory without the same sort of hard work Melbourne demands.

Plus he's bloody awful at the media stuff. I like James Graham so I listen to Jam and Cheese sometimes and the Cheese's contribution is pretty poor. He's a larrikin but not funny

Toby needs to stop trying to be a comedian and personality and just focus on his footy. Most larrakins and personalities are/have been rep players and are up there with form and perfomance. This guy wouldnt even make city country with his run of form and injuries.

Release him one year early if he doesnt stay fit and put in his best for 2025. Someone will easily take him

Tbf he's just being himself, I don't think he's trying to be someone he isn't.

I hate how most athletes these days are bland and don't show any personality whatsoever. Boring.

In saying that, I think there is a time to reign it in a bit, never comes across well when you're battling for form.
