Re: Volkman, you’d have to think that there is something which covers him with that injury if it was sustained while he was still employed by the Warriors. I reckon he’d get some sort of compo plus the medical bills paid for. They are not just going to throw him out on his ass.

Warriors medical team surely must have known it was this serious.

Nrl needs to step in and make medicals mandatory before players are released by original club imo.

I’d sign Volkman with the injury. Provided it’s recoverable. For less of course.

It's @HaroldBishop 's fault. He started calling Lumelume that and I hadn't heard of it before so I googled it and suddenly it was in my online advertising everywhere. Thought it had finally gone for good but now it's back :ROFLMAO:
I don’t know who it was, but someone here said they can’t help but hear Jason Bakuya in the tune of “Jason Derulooo,” and I cannot unhear it

The issue of compo is interesting. By ATO definition, footballers are sub-contractors and not employees. Sub-contractors are liable for their own insurance.

A lot of questions still. How did warriors miss the severity of the injury… everything else that happened came from their mismanagement while he was their responsibility.

Apparently they have reached out about still looking after him

We should make an enquiry on Zac Fulton, aggressive young player can't get a look in ( maybe for pt political reasons), plus it would be poetic Justice to stick it up older Manly supporters, if he stepped up.

If I remember correctly this was one of the RLPA's major gripes during the negotiations last year

Gus making a play for Terrell May
Dog's probably stupid enough to sign Tyrone to get him.
