Works in our favour massively. Saints are a basket case. Also training in the gong is more of a pain than being in Sydney. Will come down to money or wanting to win a comp, not Flanno or Fitz.
I don’t think it does. I know which coach I’m choosing and it’s flanno every day of the week.

The dragons are a mess this season but give it 2 years and they’ll be massive improvers. Give it 3 years and they’ll be top 8 again easily.

I agree. And if it's just about the cash and they offer more than we're willing then so be it.

Just in time for him to fall away. He wants to compete now

By which point he'll be 32 and in the twilight of his career. There's no way he wins a comp there, especially as Hunt is on the first train out of there + he's old anyway.

If all things are equal, I'm sure the coach makes a difference. As it would if you were a young player looking to improve, but he's not. He's the second best prop in the league by a long way. It'll be cash or comp.

St.george has apparently one advantage, they have actually made an offer, whereas reports about us are ' expressions of interest .

To land the fish you need to bait the hook.

AFB is the great white we need to land.

We've managed to fly under the radar in the recent era so hopefully we're having a decent crack on the quiet

Publicly

Remember Nicho and Dale?
We looked like ducks.
Cool calm and collected publicly but I bet those feet were pumping at a million miles and hour behind the scenes.

Maybe they should've literally ducked on Dale, but I take your point
I just remember there was a lot of publicity concerning both Reynolds and Nicho

But true maybe they have learned from that and are playing their cards closer to their chests

Being publicly interested in a guy & having details of offers leaked are very different.

We never leak our offers to the media, so it doesn't mean we aren't in it.
In a legal mindset.
Perhaps the Sharks have learned and are smarter for it.

NDA’s and so forth.

There’s no way it’s in the clubs interest to personally leak any information out on the dealings they conduct.

Player managers, players and players family/mates.
That’s who would be leaking detail to the media.

Basically keep Rothfield away from the joint.

AFB would be so bloody good for us but I do worry about a big contract now to not get him until 25. If it was for next year all in but the longer it takes the more worried I am. He’s without a doubt a top line prop but I could see him dropping off quickly

Money will be the same or thereabouts I think..

It’s whoever can sell the vision

We are in a very good spot to land one of the best props in the game, that does not come around too often

We have become a very closed shop with our player recruitment and negotiations, which is a good thing. Hynes wasn’t played out in the media at all. Rest assured plenty is happening behind the scenes.

It’s a good guess the tigers have pulled out because they’ve been told they’re not in the mix. Not the other way round.
