Years late, but better late than never.
Regarding AFB, 1.125 per year is a lot of cash. Is everyone still sold at that price?

With the new salary cap rise I’m happy with that. Works out what, maybe something like $900k 2 years ago?Years late, but better late than never.

Yeah I'd do it for that for sure.Years late, but better late than never.

I think that mantra is fine if it is players in key positions with longevity. I worry about what that last year or two could mean for our cap if he can't keep it up.With the new salary cap rise I’m happy with that. Works out what, maybe something like $900k 2 years ago?
Didn’t Flanno and Bellamy run off something like pay 5 top players the big money then build the rest around them, when they were winning premierships? We don’t really have anyone outside of Hynes in that category (maybe Nikora and Ronnie?) so I think it’s worth the risk
Wonder what the conversion rate is from Tigers dollars to Sharks dollarsYears late, but better late than never.

I think the cap fines had a lot to do with that. He wasn't supposed to be on so much in his final year but deferred money to help the team through those Bomber years.I think that mantra is fine if it is players in key positions with longevity. We resigned Fifita for that style money cap-wise for 4 years, and it didn't work out well. I think AFB works if he's the final piece, but it will mean we likely need to win a comp with 3 of Brailey/Kennedy/Tricky/Dykes between 2025-27.
I think that side can do it, but it will require some significant development this year.
Yes, a game changing prop does wonders for your team. Look at what Tino does to us when we play him, Papali, AFB, NAS, Haas, etc they destroy us in the middle and we get ruined.Years late, but better late than never.

I'm not surprised either!Yes, a game changing prop does wonders for your team. Look at what Tino does to us when we play him, Papali, AFB, NAS, Haas, etc they destroy us in the middle and we get ruined.
It could very well come down to Fitz or Flanno and I wouldnt be suprised if Flanno came out on top
I wouldn’t be suprised if we have players on bigger money than you think mateWith the new salary cap rise I’m happy with that. Works out what, maybe something like $900k 2 years ago?

You could easily win a trophy with a spine of Kennedy/Dykes/Hynes/Brailey/TrindallI think that mantra is fine if it is players in key positions with longevity. I worry about what that last year or two could mean for our cap if he can't keep it up.

Yeah Nikora and Ronnie I was more saying are the top players in our squad in their positions.I wouldn’t be suprised if we have players on bigger money than you think mate
We had Tracey on 500k and Kaufusi is on 400k+
Yep this 100% needs to happen. I was gobsmacked when it came out that CT was on 500k.Yeah Nikora and Ronnie I was more saying are the top players in our squad in their positions.
Which is why I think our squad maybe does need a bit of remodeling. Players like Tracey on big money aren’t needed when we can have someone on close to minimum wage Hiroti, Stonestreet, Atkinson etc come in and do a very similar job. They might of seen this and that’s why they have started this process
That way we can have 3-5 “top” players in our squad and not just Hynes.

Not sure Ronnie is currently in the top 3-5 wingers in the game after this season. Nikora definitely right up there for his position and will need a pay rise.
Nah I’m out. Thinking of other big bodies like he has - Fifita, Papalii, Taumalolo, Bromwich, they all went from being destructive to middle of the road pretty quick.Years late, but better late than never.

So Dogs HAVE signed him and just working out how to fit him inOne club out: Race for Fonua-Blake down to three
Four clubs were believed to be interested.www.zerotackle.com

Fish is on close to 900k a year and leota on around 550k.Nah I’m out. Thinking of other big bodies like he has - Fifita, Papalii, Taumalolo, Bromwich, they all went from being destructive to middle of the road pretty quick.
1.125 on a prop seems crazy too, when you consider Fish and Leota would probably just tip over that on combined salary.
Until this year Brisbane had Haas and couldn’t make the finals. Titans have Tino and don’t make the finals. Having a gun prop is important, but being our highest paid player, at his age, is too big of a risk.
