Given RFM can play backrow it would definitely be of interest. Not sure King would be on the out and they really can't afford to lose any middles
RFM's being pushed out the door, so I imagine they'd be happy to let him go.

Interestingly (from wiki for what's its worth):
King - 105kg and 188cm
RFM - 110kg and 196cm

Dogs probably have the cash to both take the freight of Tracey and pay out RFM for his contract too.

He’s as good as gone after next season.
He keeps asking for a release but we ain’t budging. He’s required for 2024. After that he can go wherever he likes when he’s off contract
I'd be letting him go as long as we get something in return.

DT reporting that the Dogs are leading the race to sign Conner Tracey
How many utility/18th man does Gus want

As Bort pointed out in his comment earlier, with all the new half/fullback/centre signings, Tracey will nearly be same pecking order he is currently at Sharks utility/18th man

Meant Brad as he actually played Jets. Was Adam injured last year? Or just didn’t play Cup?

I don't think Adam played at all. He had hammy issues when he was signed by the Jets

They must be making the best trade offer if they want him for this year...

I guess their SST money just opened up, but does Tracey really wanna throw himself into the mix of Taaffe, Wilson, Xerri, Quai-Ward ,Kiraz, Skelton, Addo-Carr and Crichton.
Guess he could back himself to beat out the likes of Xerri, EQW and Skelton
Taaffe Wilson Crichton Tracey JAC or Crichton Wilson Tracey Xerri JAC

While there is a good chance he leaves a lot of players get that label but stick around.

Tracey would want to be going to a near guaranteed start if he left, as he knows where he stands in our squad, and being a local junior anywhere he has to move to just to stay a backup would not be attractive.
Belmore not too far though so maybe worth the extra travel if he sees a more open jersey.
Perhaps the swap is about buying back the farm.

Dogs might be moving Burton back to centre.
Crichton Wilson Burton Kiraz JAC Taaffe Sexton?
(could do Kiraz over Wilson and Xerri in, instead)

Could be their highest upside line-up but I don't have massive confidence in it. Burton may be their best centre, but not convinced he isn't also their best FE, maybe I just haven't seen enough of Taaffe to back him

(forgot Kiraz when penciling in sides with Tracey earlier)

Ducks and drakes.

Here's the story for what it's worth

Why Dogs’ superstar could make shock positional switch as halves headache emerges

Fox League from Fox Sports
November 21st, 2023 10:58 am

The Bulldogs are reportedly considering a shock positional switch for superstar Matt Burton, with the five-eighth potentially moving back to the centres.

The Daily Telegraph is reporting the club’s coaching staff are considering the move but it will hinge on the player’s who can take his place.
Burton has played 47 games for the Bulldogs and hasn’t featured outside the No.6 and No.7 jerseys in Belmore.

However, he played 20 of his 32 games at centre for the Panthers and enjoyed success, scoring in the 2021 grand final win over the Rabbitohs in the position

Many consider Burton’s running ability the best part of his game, which has been supressed during his time playing in the halves.

However, a move to the centres could also see his kicking duties reduced, possessing one of the most dangerous bombs in the NRL.
If the move eventuates, Cameron Ciraldo will have Toby Sexton, Drew Hutchison, Kurt Mann, Jaeman Salmon and Blake Taaffe all available to play in the halves.

Reports also suggest star recruit Stephen Crichton will wear the No.1 jersey in his first season at the Belmore-based club.

Could even be Taafe fullback, Critta/Burton centres, Hutchinson/Sexton halves. JAC and Kiraz would almost certainly have to have the wing spots locked up.

Xerri, Wilson and Tracey all fighting to take someone’s spot.

Throw in Mann he is also that fullback/half/utility position

Yeah could do, I didn't think of that route, I actually quite like it although ties up a lot of money and talent in centres vs a potentially lacklustre spine.
If spine doesn't fire those centres won't be doing much for you.
Does conflict with article just posted which suggests Crichton to FB, obviously - that could be false or still change though

On Kiraz, there were suggestions he doesn't like playing wing, feels like he is used as a battering ram and doesn't think it's what he wants to be doing if he wants a long NRL career. Given he is also a good centre it could see him named at centre or leave.
Of course these things can always be patched over, misunderstood, or just blatantly false
