The 2 straight drives I hit all day were the 2 holes with fairway bunkers. And there was 3 or 4 skulled chip shots...

Haha. I'm using my groupon voucher for Camden Lakeside on Thursday.

Faaark it was hot out there yesterday. Typical round for me, couple of good holes, plenty of so-so holes, a couple of disaster holes. 94. I'll never get any better playing only 2-3 times per year so I'm happy with that.

At least you shot below 100. Sunday was the most disgraceful round I've had in a while.

On another note I need a new set of clubs but can't justify forking out $1000 for a decent set when I only play twice a year. Not on these north shore wages :p

No matter how bad you're playing there's always a beer at the end. I saw Phil Gould about to tee off as we were finishing. He's a big bastard.

On clubs, you should be able to get a decent set for cheaper than $1,000 these days. The golf shops tend to have sales when the majors are on.

I've got a mate that runs a pro shop, if I bought clubs anywhere but off him he'd kill me haha

The problem with pro shops from my experience is they're not as cheap as Golf Mart and those types of places. I think mine cost around $900 but that was years ago when the AUD was around 60 cents . You should be able to get a decent set for around $600-$700 now.

True but my mate looks after me. Got a $200 putter for $15 and a free bag when I bought the clubs way back in 2005
