So why was Tate awarded a zero tackle?
Oi Jett
i sent your opening email to 2ue, and they said its Zero tackle when the attacking team makes a mistake, and Fifita caught the ball clean so is wasnt Zero Tackle,
So whats the differance between Fifitas , and Tates Zero Tackle.
Can Anyone "Please Explain"
When I was a cricket umpire we used to use one of those clicker things to count the balls in an over. I can understand how a ref could lose count with the pace of the game and stuff happening all around him.
There should be someone in their earpiece who announces the count
Love it
Gordon had little sympathy for the Cowboys after their unfortunate exit, with the Sharks' opening try coming on the seventh tackle.
"I had no idea - I'm not out there counting tackles," he said.
"I suppose I could say I feel sorry for them but I don't really."

That was my understanding of how the zero tackle rule worked and why it was brought in. To protect a team from having a positional disadvantage after an opposition mistake. Back in the day if a scrum wasn't called the team might be working back a knock on mistake from 10 metres from where it happened and that counts as tackle one.
I think the earpiece man can also continually remind the ref of other basic things such as what constitutes a forward pass and that 9 metres is less than 10 metres.
it should technically be a sharks zero tackle. lui dropped it, you could argue it was a drop kick but clearly that wasnt his intention. fifita caught it but was tackled on that spot. no advantage from a dropped ball. zero tackle IMO.
the NRL rule book states that an error resulting in a turn over is zero tackle if no advantage is played or a scrum put down. the refs got that call wrong but in reality corrected it by accident.
Well now that I have seen that head on footage of the incident I have changed my view. Lui did fluff the kick it seems from that footage. Knock on. Zero tackle.
In saying that though, I looked at Gallen's kick to Tate as well and am pretty sure that hitbthe ground first as well so I am also changing my mind on that one. It was correct.
No way Graham tackled Tate mid air early in the second half either. That was a blunder by the ref/s.
^shyte stirring. LOL
Because they're c--ts!no sure why the speculation around the Lui kick hasn't even got a single mention in the media yet..
Because it is easier to sell the news about the conspiracy theory than the whole truth. But we know the truth is out there Scullyno sure why the speculation around the Lui kick hasn't even got a single mention in the media yet..
