It’s going to be wade as the long term cover. I bet.

Does this mean Talakai goes back to 2nd row and Tracey comes in at centre?

We don’t know
Maybe.
For a mid to long term injury I think I like that better than Graham/Williams second row.

If Ramien also out though that would need two centres so either Iro or maybe Atkinson (or SS via Ronnie to centre) gets a run.

Start Wade and play Talakai for 50-60
Or start Talakai and run Williams/Colquhoun there for middle 30
Not sure Talakai can do 80 mins on edge
I don't think Talakai would struggle to play 80 there. He does a lot of work from centre already. I know it's a different role, and more tackles, but I think he could cope. Whether his defence would struggle more I'm not sure.

Defensive fatigue is my concern
Today he made 7 missed 5
Nikora made 44 missed 3
Defending there effectively is a whole different workload than taking 13 runs (Talakai) instead of just 11 (Nikora)

It's also a different position where you're less likely to get isolated and have fewer lateral movement requirements.

You may be right, I'm just not putting it past him just yet.

Waiting for scans no doubt... NRL Physio says maybe meniscus and 4-6 weeks, but could be something else (thinks ACL is less likely).
If it was acl it'd be more a sprain like Sam Walker I'd think, but we've still seen that hold him out 11 weeks and counting.
That or meniscus was always my guess

Surely the lack of news means no acl. They are usually diagnosed very easily. Hope he recovers quickly.

Yeah ACL diagnosis on the field is normally pretty accurate, so hopefully something less serious.

In your head, rent free
nrl physio said he expects a 4-6 week recovery for his knee injury, ruled out acl

this was hard to track down as he blocked me for asking a question about head gear
