Well done Mick.

And glad he kept JJ from winning for Wiko's sake.

Mick is now number 5 in the world. I wonder if he could win it if he did all the remaining events?

easily, trestles, portugl and france are 3 events he always does well in, tahiti too in any conditions. and pipe......

Its funny to think if he did surf every event he'd almost be a favourite to win it.

Yeah for sure.

I've really missed watching him surf in the events that he skipped. I hope he comes back on next year. He's sort of been hinting at retirement.

yeeew surfing added to the 2020 tokyo olympics.

yeah its not bad, obviously the KS wave co thing will be a factor in this. Remember some of the WCT events held in the late 90s early Naughtys in ankle high ****?

Yeah man i duuno, imagine the exposure to KS corporation if they pull it off. Skateboarding has also been added so could be a epic indoor surf / skate
X-Game feel about it.
But there are some all time Japaneses surf spots that could be used.

Yeah but its mostly the same in any surf comp a 2 week window, and from my understanding of japanes surfing it peaks during spring between April & May.
and the summer olympic will be held between 24th July and 9th August,

Didnt KS sell his wave pool and its rights to the WSL or something?

I would bargain on Japan having artificial waves for the olympics

yeah its gunna be artificial waves for sure. WSL events are scheduled to have the best chance to get the best waves available. But doesnt always come off.

But i do like this direction. I myself love the olympics, track and field, swimming, bmx, basketball. Not many young kids are gunna get into it unless there is these 'extreme' sports there. They already have BMX (or has that been canned). Time to get with the times i suppose

This sucks. They're basically surfing a shore break close out.

Also, Jeremy Flores is having a blinder against Wilko. Frustrating.

And **** me Medina is an annoying ****.

Talking to my mate the other day who lives up ballina / lennox area never seen the skate parks so full and heaps more kids skateboarding,
Mums aren't buying their kids surfboards / boogies etc... anymore, they dont think its safe to be surfing, im no expert but something needs to be done up there.
