yeh i couldnt understand bombing a guy who is about to be paid 1.2 mil to catch **** like that. gws selectors must of been orgasming all night long

Okay, attacking kicks rather than clearing kicks...
Agreed there. Especially when Slater has a habit of spilling the ball. I did think that if we'd kept those attacking kicks along the ground we could have at least made a contest of it... not that there were many chances.

ok, i know im a qlder, and i love ragging **** on nsw... but it gets repetitive... here is my insight on last nights nsw team, as it was shocking and all over the place

1 hayne... has been crying out to play rep fullback, last night was your chance and you shyed away from it, very disappointing, more was needed from you

2 monas... lol, how the **** is he a nsw winger. gifted the first try. michael gordon, nathan merrit, hell even idris would be spewing and laughing at this guy at the same time.

3 cooper.. your a myth, your rep career should now be open, and if i here peter sterling call you the best defensive centre in the game again i will blow up, **** box... lawrence jennings josh morris, hell even dean collis are better than you

4 scott... thought the debut in a crucial game was a bit of a stretch but he played very well, very impressed with him

5 morris... myth of epic proportions, looks good in a club team with a awesome 5/8 giving him service, and a australian team led by qlders... nuffy

6 baz... im shattered for you, tried your arse off, but i dont think you should of been there, i think soward should be nsw 5/8 of the future.

7 pearce.. stick with him, he is a good player

8 weyman... hard as nails, never gave up, the other prop cant say the same

9... bit disappointing... not creative in origin but is in club level

10 white... you pussy... absolute cat... 6 props off the top of my head better than you... tim mannah aiden tolman jason king dane tilse snowden and douglas in no order, i just didnt put our guys first to look biased

11waterhouse... mr average was that again

12 creagh.. 60 minutes and 3 runs... cat

13 gallen... hard ****, deserved to be there

14 gidley, see ya skipper, farrah should be on the bench

15 hindmarsh... well passed it, but played decent, look to the future and forget him

16 TLL.. played well out of position, should be persisted with

17 LOD... maybe went a bit overboard but its what he does, qld avoided running at him and gallen after that... and **** me he looks good in sky blue. in saying that i think your origin days are numbered

nailed it, just saved me typing all that out :cheers

O'Donnell banned for dangerous tackle - ABC Online

O'Donnell out of Origin III
Updated June 17, 2010 12:39:00

New South Wales enforcer Luke O'Donnell will miss State of Origin III after copping a three-match ban for a spear tackle.

O'Donnell was charged with grade two lifting after he drove Queensland winger Darius Boyd into the turf during the first half of the Maroons' 34-6 win, which clinched a fifth straight series for the home side.

His early guilty plea means he will miss North Queensland's next two NRL games, against Melbourne (away) and Cronulla (home), as well as the third Origin game in Sydney on July 7.

Cowboys coach Neil Henry says he is disappointed his star lock will now be unavailable as his team attempts to revive its season.

Gallen and Hindmarsh both did really well in a **** pack. Hindmarsh did the tackling, Gal did the strong hit ups. I hope both are there. Hindmarsh should be the captain of that team imo.

Mitchell Pearce looked fine considering NSW didnt have the ball at all. Happy for him to come back.

Foxsports.com.au have posted player ratings for both teams.

Apprently Brett Morris was "The pick of the Blues players". Un-****ing-believable. The guy cost the team at least two tries and was horrible. Who did these ratings? Rod Morris?

My favourate bit was Gidley's "uncharacteristic errors" uncharacteristic my ****ing ass

LOD... what a brain fart. Goodbye, good riddance. Represents the old school of Origin that should have been banished with Johns.

I enjoyed the early 90's feel, just want to see straight up fisticuffs and pure, controlled aggression.

So which is it? Can't have it both ways, and alot of the aggro in the 90's is hardly what you could describve as controlled. To talk about that blue as part of Origin that should have been banished, well you ask anyone and it's that aggression and passion that sets Origin apart. The highlight packages that the ARL ram down our throat year after year are chocas with aggro and blues ffs.

As far as LOD is concerned clearly he went out there with the intention of cracking some skulls. I doubt very much though that a spear tackle was part of the plan.

What happens in the blue afterwards is fair game in my opinion. My only drama with the headbutt and jab at Taylor was that Monoaghan was holding onto Taylor at the time.

About the only time you could feel proud to be a new south welshman was when O'Donnell and Gallen were getting stuck in.

If only some of our other forwards, particularly Weterhouse and Geagh, had a fraction of O'Donnell's ticker our halves might have had some more room to create. It looked to me as though they were all **** scared of Thaiday. NSW have to do something about him in Game 3 - maybe bring back MG.

Ideal cure for Kurt's blues - Daily Telegraph

Ideal cure for Kurt's blues

<EDITED>

TIMANA Tahu is apparently furious over a rumour that he waited until Friday to walk out on the Blues camp so that he could collect his $800 in expenses. Andrew Johns made his racist comments on Wednesday night but Tahu waited until Friday lunchtime before storming out of camp. On Thursday evening the players were given $800 each in cash - their $100-a-day team allowance. Tahu has not returned the money.

MICHAEL Ennis has gone out of his way to slam suggestions he and Jarryd Hayne were late for the NSW team bus last Wednesday night. "I'll clear the air because we certainly weren't late. There was a certain time that the bus was leaving and me and Jarryd Hayne got down there five minutes before the bus was supposed to leave, but they had left without us. They'd brought in Jason King and Jamal Idris into the team as 18th and 19th men and team management obviously counted those guys in the 17 and said, 'righto, let's go'. Me and Haynsey jumped in a cab and it was probably the most rattled I'd ever been."

SPOTLIGHT ON IDRIS'S DUMPING

NSW's discarding of Jamal Idris should be examined further when Brian Canavan conducts his review. Here was a kid Andrew Johns labelled as a player the Blues could build a future around before the first State of Origin game - and then was not good enough to be in the squad for games two and three.
