Stupid rhyme battles aside @Sparkles, I'm actually a massive Yeo fan. He's awesome at being a "halfback of the forwards" and starting the shifts. He's just not the same type of plyer as Ben Hunt, so couldn't have played that same role. Hunt's a special player imho. Closest NSW have to play that role would be Radley, but he's still not like Hunt, and he can't go 80.

I think after this game Hunt will now be remembered as more than just the guy who dropped the ball to lose Brisbane the GF

Agreed. Players like Hunt exhibit exactly what NSW lack...and I don't think it's a skill thing. There's an instinct and understanding of what's required at different points in the game that I don't see Yeo or Cleary or Radley or any of them exhibit. Hunt could have played fullback and helped swing that game as he did.

Not sure that's the answer to suit your thoughts

What is everyone else's thoughts on Fitler?

A roosters supporter at my work said he will be coaching origin again next year after i said he will likely be replaced.
I don’t think he’s a great coach, but the NSW origin problem is bigger than Fittler, and I’m not talking about passion and all that garbage. NSW play origin too conservatively. Queensland play every moment to score points. Lots of second phase and heads up footy. Regardless of the coach they play that way and in origin it is effective. For some reason NSW just don’t get the message. Every year it’s the same story.

Seemed like false sense of security , especially game 1 and 3 ,
BIG NSW forwards paving the way for 35 minutes.
Feeling GREAT at half time .
2nd half , fitter smaller mobile QLD Pack cuts loose , providing the width to tire the sheeeeet out of NSW and heads up get the job done .
Im sure Fitz will be analysing, what works

Agree. NSW have passion and skill but play like a club game.

Not run over at the guy and start throwing punches at the same time could have been an option
Big whoop, he ran over someone.

I'd have to watch it again about him throwing the first punch. Even if true that's no justification for Tino's actions.

I didn’t say anything about running over Ponga, which he did on purpose, and Gagai escalated.

When he then chased after (notoriously aggressive) Gagai looking for revenge for being pushed over he didn’t give himself a lot of options. Looks to me like they started throwing together.

Time to close this thread now I think...
Origin was two days ago Chad, we haven’t even had a single NRL game since. If you don’t want to read about origin don’t click in.

Not sure what Burton was supposed to do? Stand there and take it?
By the rules of the game, yep.
I think Burton was more stunned by the fact Gagai was throwing punches than by the punches and didn't retaliate at first

Ah sorry misread your post on that one.

What are your thoughts on Tino?

Right. 10 in the bin, Bort.
This is why we don't let footy players fight :D
