Cheese back in time to take some pressure of Murray, who will be returning at a similar time you reckon?
Murray could easily be even longer so I guess he could ease back in a bit more if cheese was there. But they’d have gone so long with Hubner or another solution they settle on already, I don’t think they need a returning from injury player to bridge to their returning from injury player.

If they could get Cheese and play him right now the fit makes sense.
Otherwise I’d just leave it an assess need closer to when he is healthy - and meanwhile roosters keep paying him.

Nothing better then seeing the Roosters and Rabbits in shambles

South’s have signed Ravalawa on a 1 year deal for this season. Once the season ends he will go back to St George for the final 1 year of his contract.

South’s now have done this twice. Same type of deal with Jayden Sullivan.

Are they onto something here by doing these types of deals? What’s everyone’s thoughts.
Do they only get done for overpaid, unwanted players that you can't get rid of?

Typical Wayne move, rightly or wrongly he's taking advantage of something to get an edge, and that's all that will matter in his eyes. Fair play to him.

Souths are very keen on trying to get Brandon Smith across to them this year, however only have 150-200k left in their cap. They have asked the roosters to pay out the rest of his contract so he can leave asap.
Roosters apparently are seriously considering this as they want him gone.

Says a lot about the bloke really.
Can confirm. Wayne has also bought in a.AC that was at South’s a few years ago and was credited with getting the best out of Trell. Same is expected with Cheese.

Surely you'd just let roosters keep paying him until the deadline and sign him?

I'd imagine any deal for him to move earlier would still be priced this way. Kinda like how McInnes came to us early to manage his recovery despite Saints copping the bill.

Souths may want to take charge of his recovery, and Roosters might be happy to focus elsewhere despite paying.

Yeah that would make sense

Klemmer joins the dragons effective immediately. They’re trying to get an exemption so he can play this weekend

Wishart set to extend with the Storm.

Sasagi extends with the raiders until end of 2026.

Josh King extends with the storm for 2 more years.

He's a special player Wishart. Will definitely find his way onto NSW bench before too long.

Just wondering what their plans are for him. He’s wasted playing off the bench for 30-35 minutes each week. Needs to be playing 80 every game.

Posted a month ago or so that Josh Schuster was set to retire & walk away from Rugby League.

Apparently Bennett has had multiple heart to heart conversations with him & Schuster is now apparently locked in to returning to the nrl for Souths. Currently nursing a leg injury - he is aiming to try break into the side come round 8-10.

If Bennett can't get this bloke right then nobody can. Interested to see how he goes when he does come back.

Would be a shame for the game to lose someone with that much talent so hopefully Wayne works his magic.

Think this line in the article is a bit of a reach by the author though;

"His agility and speed, blended with his burly build, made him an unforeseen threat in the NRL."

Honestly I've seen very little evidence of it, not sure what others are seeing?
