It's brilliant for Parra - a very over rated player is off their books and it ruins the salary cap/squad balance of another mid table team they will be competing with to make the 8
Agree.

Word is also Cartwright, Lussick, Grieg & Ofahengaue won’t be re signed. And Matterson is free to leave also.

They’re clearing the decks big time.

Roosters apparently have sent out an SOS to JWH. Rumour is they’re prepared to pay out his salary to Hull KR to get him back for this season. They’re also in discussion with Molo who has said he will pay back the advance St Merge gave him. Once that’s done apparently they’ll then release him (his agent is trying to the this resolved by the end of the week apparently).

They can offer Galvin a huge deal now if he is still off contract by November 1st.

Question is why would Hull KR accept?
They finished 4th last year, were 1 game away from going to Old Trafford for the Grand Final.
They're obviously hoping to at least repeat that performance and maybe improve on it.

I honestly don’t think this has legs, it was purely speculative from Rothfield & it’s got way too much chatter about it when it’s not going to happen.

South’s have signed Ravalawa on a 1 year deal for this season. Once the season ends he will go back to St George for the final 1 year of his contract.

South’s now have done this twice. Same type of deal with Jayden Sullivan.

Are they onto something here by doing these types of deals? What’s everyone’s thoughts.

Works great if you're dealing with injuries. With Ison out, we could benefit from doing that with a fullback if there was an appropriate one somewhere a club was looking to offload/shed some cap with.

It's also really smart so to not lock yourself in long term and miss out on anything else on the market.

Jaylen De Groot from the titans is 4th in the pecking order to play fullback for the titans. Played the final round last year and looked alright. If Kennedy goes down he could be one maybe to look at.
(Taking into account the salary cap & players clubs would actually allow to leave for 1 year). Outside of im not sure what other fullbacks are floating around as depth that would be worth us considering. Atko for me would be next man up still if Kennedy did go down at some stage.

Tigers players have apparently urged Benji to sign Taylan May.

I see this happening 100%. Fact they have money, need a centre and his brother is at the club makes a whole lot of sense.

Management have been discussing this for a while, I'd be shocked if he doesn't end up there

Could go two ways… could cause more trouble or be helpful for both of them.
It’s gonna happen eventually. All 3 of them have said it’s their goal/dream to all play for the same nrl club. Tigers might as well try capitalise on it now. Otherwise Terrell will likely just leave and go join wherever Taylan does end up in 2 years time.

Souths are very keen on trying to get Brandon Smith across to them this year, however only have 150-200k left in their cap. They have asked the roosters to pay out the rest of his contract so he can leave asap.
Roosters apparently are seriously considering this as they want him gone.

Says a lot about the bloke really.

He's not going to be fit till July ish right, so guess Souths might get a few games out of him. Still a good player in the right position and right price.

Would take some pressure of Souths with the loss of Murray. Cheese straight into the 14 role to cover lock & hooker.
