I think I know the quick answer . But with extra consideration I'd ponder

Who’d be up for a Pearce/Chad switch with Newcastle?

Id swap Chad for Rob Burrow

Problem with a swap is both players need to agree and the prick wont leave the area

Wouldn't be a straight swap

If the articles are to be believed, which I doubt, they would have to shell out a fair bit this year to get rid of him.

If they want him gone, there's no way anyone is touching him for a million.

but pearce is so settled up at newy - not getting himself in trouble or anything... we would only tarnish his mature reputation

Anyone would think he actually shagged the Dog :)
Apart from his Kings Cross grope , his behaviour has been immature but at least can play footy and hasn't murdered anyone .

Not what you want from your senior guys though. He’d be a terrible influence on our young roster. We don’t really have the seniority to pull him into line. 0/10 would not swap for chad

100% a no to Pearce for me. Perhaps if we were in a premiership window it could be worth considering but we're not. And he's going to cost more than Chad, even if the Knights kick in a bit imo.

Anyway it's a pointless argument, no chance he comes.

Pearce is an absolute ****nuckle & not good enough on-field to make up for it.

Worried about sponsors now? Imagine our #7 pretend ****ed a dog, pissed on a couch & talked about "liney lines" on camera - 8wks & $125k fine while he was a Rooster who you all reckon are protected.

I take that as a NO :)

Totally agree .
But unfortunately / fortunately he is twice the halfback as Chad .

Does Pearce over Chad fix our issues in any way?
Or just people’s personal issues with Chad?
I’d say defence is our #1 issue personally.

When SJ is healthy and playing well Chads mediocrity isn’t our biggest issue, when SJ isn’t in good form Chads mediocrity stands out a bit more though, but really the other issues are also still there and SJ playing poorly is also a big issue.

Not sure the percentage better Pearce is than Chad would warrant tying ourselves to him for next few years (doubt he’d come for just 1 or much of a pay cut) as new halfback probably doesn’t boost our start to this season hugely anyway. Especially if the likes of the other big spends like Moylan, Fifita, Dugan and Woods aren’t up to scratch either way.

I’d rather see an up and comer push Chad out that be locked to Pearce for a a few years.
