yeah it is an article from Phil Rothfield. The same bloke that broke the news on twitter.
is that $200,000 first year (depending keeps out of trouble)Daily telegraph just reported 15 minutes ago Todd carney is signing a $700000 two year deal and stert training with sharks next week !
is that $200,000 first year (depending keeps out of trouble)
then $500,000 the second or $700,000 for 2 years ($350,000 per year)
That's a lot of money. I hope his head is screwed on. Tight.
I wouldn’t be surprised if it was highly exaggerated though.
i believe the torment will be over tomorrow...
Im sure out of most of the people on here who did not want carney, all were concerned and will remain concerned about the damage he could do to the club off the field.I guess the 500k for the second year is incentive for not playing up. Dangle the carrot and see if he takes it. It is good coin for him/us if he were to get back to his potential.

Most of those people however will be very excited as they know what sort of damage he can inflict on the field
This contract is a great one for us, as it has incentive to succeed and a get out of goal cheap card if all goes pair shaped.:Yes::Yes:
I know you are concerned, and deathmoth is another, but are you barring up over what he is capable of doing on the field.I'm still one of those concerned about the signing. but if he screws up, it is most likely going to be in the first year. so 200k is not too bad of a loss, we spent more on KFC

Forget about off field for 1 moment and give it some thought
so you dont rate his abilityI'm not barring up over what he does on the field. If he signs, i will support him, if he signs and doesnt screw up, i'll cop the i told you so from all opposed to my views.
