is that $200,000 first year (depending keeps out of trouble)

Yes, that is what was reported. But it is not 350k per yer.

I guess the 500k for the second year is incentive for not playing up. Dangle the carrot and see if he takes it. It is good coin for him/us if he were to get back to his potential.

I'm still one of those concerned about the signing. but if he screws up, it is most likely going to be in the first year. so 200k is not too bad of a loss, we spent more on KFC
