im curious - the article says moltzen has a preference to stay with the tigers.. then why did he sign a dargons contract????

loosing carney to the dragons would be the 2nd worse thing that could happen.. apart form loosing him to Manly !!!

however the squad listed at the bottom looks strong for us... exciting times either way i reckon

i know its the telecrap but all the papers reckon either on the weekend or latest tuesday it will be announced, if he does sign within that time period surely it shows hes grateful for the opportunity sharks have given him, if theres word of dragons wanting him. one can only hope

Surely there's enough rhetorical questions created by the paper speculation....This type of statement only makes the waiting worse.

Here's a speculative question.

If we miss out on Carney which is sounding more likely the longer this saga goes on.

Who do you spend the money on? Given we seem to have a fair amount to spend, who would you target that is coming off contract?

i think this a nothing article, i do not think there is any substance to it. i just think it is sports writer with no story writes a article hay maybe if dragons miss out on moltzen they maybe interested in carney cause they would have moltzen money to spend.
i think a club like the dragons would not been key to sign a player like carney as much as i hate to say they have been fairly successful the last few years & i think they would not think it is worth the risk.
lets be honest the only reason our club is interested in carney is because we have missed the 8 the last 3 years & we need him as much as he needs a club to play at.
if you had been in top 4 or close to it the last few years & won a comp in 2010 would you still be keen to sign carney?
