i made the comment that i thought it was a rubbish article based on the concept that nrl teams now days are run like a business & a team like the dragons would more than likely not think a player like carney was worth the risk.
lets be honest if we had won a comp in 2010 & been in the final the last few years would we still want to sign him?
signing a player like carney is a big gamble, but worth the risk for a club like the sharks considering we have missed the finals the last 3 years.
i may be wrong i just can not see why a club like the dragons would take the risk, i think it was more a case of sports writer making a article out of nothing, & the way it is written also indicates there is nothing to it. there is no mention of the dragons saying they are interested in carney or that carney or his manager have had or plan to have any meetings.
just mere speculation that if the dragons miss out on moltzen they may be interested in carney.
