I am all for the club making a play like that but I think saying we would even be a 1% shot would be generous so they better not hold off on signing anyone else in the fairy tale hope. The majority of the NRL will be after Cronk and about half the NRL or less will be able to make a good offer that will be close but probably less than ours, and then a few of them will stack on the 3rd party agreements we will not be able to get.

Hope we can get Carney but in my opinion the longer it drags on the less chance we are because it means he has more options and we are not at the top of anyone's list. Especially with the Cronulla financial death talks resuming in the media background.
