I said Johnson not Malony. Johnson is eligible and cherry evens and hodkinson were 20 turning 21 that year when they made there debut

They both spent a year in qld cup at the age of 20 and look what it did for them! I think Chad needs the same thing to happen with him

:Yes::cheers

Carney wasn't "a must" before he got sacked.

Everyone was keen as mustard to give the AK, Chad, Wade combo a slog next year and quite confident of it.

He is and he also spent a year with the vulcans

3 top young halves and all 3 did a year in either nsw or qld cup

Well I guess we will have to agree to disagree I wont go calling you a Muppet because you have an opinion though, not my style.

That's because he wasnt an option before he got sacked

This is a very valid point. AK and/or Chad would not be harmed by a year in NSW Cup. Even Graham could learn a thing or two down there.

And just as much of a gamble. I reckon there is just as much chance of AK firing and being everything Carney can be as there is of Carney coming here and not pissing around. And why compare Carney to Chad? Chad is a 7, Carney is a 6.

Compare him to AK if anything. You all seem to think he's pretty flash. Why the need for an upgrade all of a sudden?

Very well said. It's a risk either way. At least the gamble on the young halts doesn't affect the club. The club just got a new sponsor the other day in Oporto. Wonder how long it will take them to bail just like LG did.

Very please to hear Flanno admit last night we are interested in Carney, we need this bloke.

But it seems Manly has discovered the answer for us. Hopefully when Carney signs we buy him a dog.

A dog is being credited with turning Anthony Watmough's life around. He now goes to bed at 930 so he can be up at 6 to walk to dog. No time to go out on the drink anymore.

So there's the answer sign Carney and buy him a labrador.

Flanno made the joke about billeting Carney at Gal's place last night.

In all seriousness though, living in a house with noisy little people who get up at sparrow's and instantly demand massive amounts of attention does put a damper on the late night party-boy ways.

I'm not suggesting Todd goes out and gets himself an instant wife and family, however having a direct responsibility to someone else who relies on you does change your priorities hugely.

There's no doubting Todd is a great footballer. He just needs to be a lot less ego-centric off the field. If he can manage to do that, I believe it will have added dividends in his leadership qualities on the field.
